I always loved that line of thinking. I could buy a SRT-4, and for 25k I could make it faster than some exotics. But at the end of the day, I'm driving a Neon..

Heck, I could buy a fox body Mustang for 5k.....

This is totally the ricer mentality my bro-in-law has (who drives a 350z conv. w/stillen sc) I don't even want to mention his 1/4 time from last week at the track.

....maybe using the word ricer is a bad choice of words..............no.........because that's what he is!

way to bring this thread from the dead AMJ.

I considered selling my 335 and buying a 350z TT w/ built motor pushing 600rwhp. From what I've read here, stock for stock the z handles better than a 335 and in straight line they are almost equal. Plus I like the way it looks, but thats my opinion.

+1 to everything you said. The Z was at the top of my list for years. I was about to pull the trigger until it got porkier in 05 and the N54 was announced in 06. Looking back at it, I would've probably been happier with the Z but the 3's just easier to live with on a daily basis. The fun to drive factor on the Z is definitely higher than the 3

Why do you say its easier to live with? Because of the back seats or the trunk space? Honestly man, I'm single and the Z in question is in my state and its absolutely perfect. Well except for the color, but thats no biggy, the paint is brand new. Plus I'm going to Iraq in the next couple months so....I dunno. Decisions decisions decisions...

I see what you guys mean with close performance between the coupe and the 350z but there is not a lot of cars out there that I tested that compete with the 335 sedan (in terms of other sedans that is). I drove a lot of cars and not much could compete. Since I wanted a sedan that made the decision for me.

You can get 80-90 RWHP from the 350z without FI...... Look below....372RWHP naturally aspirated spanking Ferrari 430 Scuderia's, modded Nissan GT-R's, Porsches. Lap record holder at CSCS. I highly doubt ANY 335i can hang with Kelsey on the track. Show me any 335s that you think can keep up on the track

PS owner claims his car is approx 4 seconds slower than GT cars as is. If he goes FI and push even more HP, there is no way a 335i can keep up on the track.

FYI, you're arguing with a guy that posted this 4 years ago and is now banned.
