But there are normal human beings (I tend to think I'm one of those) and then there are people like Musk who seems to intend to want to run the universe: transportation disrupter, space travel, and now wants to influence/dominate social media communications.....

Maybe there are a bunch of people out there that are simply obsessed with Musk that want to work with him and will do exactly what he wants and that's how me makes all it work.

He is a fascinating person for sure but I would never work at any of his companies.
Great post. I concur.

I know politics are not allowed, but I would love to do blind polls of G80 grille opinion vs things like age and political affiliation to see if there is any correlation.

I wonder if there's much to be learned. Still, I'll play – huge fan of polls, here!

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to help, as at the moment my age is the only one of the three that is clear and fixed. I suggest including "Don't Care!" among the options.

He's not really a conservative hero - he's just a hero of capitalism. He's proving that the private sector will always be superior to the public sector even with its' flaws.

DeSantis is a conservative hero, not Musk.

I would even go so far as to say that an indiscriminate/anonymous poll of probably any profession in the world would net similar comments. Heck, just listen to how Disney employees rate that company…..

….yet, they stay.

These overall poll percentages are pretty good honestly, especially from a large scale employer like TESLA.

Yes!

Mortgages, financial commitments and general inertia and perhaps own shares (makes a lot of people turn a blind eye
Whatever but blaming employees for failing to leave doesn't make the confrontational boss who squeezes a good un.

I think he's made some serious miscalculations with Twitter though I cant help but wonder if 2000cs isnt correct. Can Musk pull it off and turn this thing into the next massive success?

If Twitter was still public and the stock had tanked due to all the shenanigans, would you be tempted to buy? I kinda feel like I would. I hate myself for saying it but I'd want in on the dip.
Did you make money on the stocks you bought or not? This seems like a "learning" is you learned just fine. If you lost, okay, well, then bad move. Bad timing.

He bought the company. He can fire every last person if that's what he want's to do. I haven't heard of anyone being unable to access twitter or tweet so I'm not exactly sure the firings are being "felt" at the moment. Maybe it will all break tomorrow, I have no idea, but as of now it seems to all be working fine.

The good news is Elon Musk is turning Twitter' headquarters into a homeless shelter

The bad news is, it can only house 280 characters, or less

Poor twitter employees who didn’t do jack shit for 10 years and think they’re invaluable. I’ve asked this 5 times in this thread - what platform improvements has Twitter since since 2010

Agreed! Four thousand employees gone and Twitter is just fine. It just goes to show you that the workforce was bloated and Elon knew that. Will there be some restructuring? Absolutely! That happens with any change of power/ownership. Changes that disrupt the dictatorial climate are likened/linked to Republicans/MAGA/Trump/LibsofTiKTok/etc. involvement just like every instance of somebody not getting their way is likened/linked to racism/homophobia/xenophobia/some other phobia/etc. It's just ridiculous reasoning.

No, I made money. Bought at about $100, sold at the low $300s, just before the stock skyrocketed. Oh well.
