Where is the camera or radar sensor in this render? Its nowhere, this new x3 is suppose to have more advanced driver aids and safety systems. The new 1 series has a radar and camera cut out in the grill. this render does not. Also look at bmwblog review video, the back wheel arch is all wrong or they are using a ton of disguise. But I suspect its a good photoshop.

If BMW listened to the commentariat they’d probably go bankrupt.

When the G01 was revealed in 2017, it was to near universal praise on this forum and elsewhere. The G01 was also the first time the X3 took the #1 sales volume crown from the 3er, etc.

I suppose that's because G01 has a wonderful design. Which, I fear the G45 may lack.

It is clear that the iX design is the design language BMW will be using for the future generation of EVs. I believe what they are trying to do is to converge the design of the new X3 (last X3 with ICE) with that of the new iX3…the two will be based on two different platforms and therefore will look different and with somehow different proportions. The X3 will retain some design elements from ICE SUVs…lights and grill for example…but the body…look at wheel arches and the absence of angles…seems to come from the iX design language. I think what they are doing is smart.

"Exactly the same"? The only common element is the diagonal bars, which are barely visible on the F70 since the standard grille is all black.

With all do respect, I hope it is real 🤣 I am so bored with the BMW X series. In the current x3/x5 Gen I can still see elements of the first X5 I bought back in 2003. Hard to get excited to buy a new car with these small incremental exterior changes. Taillight tweak here, headlight tweak there, bigger grill here. Geez 😴

Bloody hell! After the really beautifully designed X1, I really hoped that the new G45 X3 would look similar. A big X1, so to speak. Now the thing is even uglier than the recently presented F70.

What's going on with the designers at BMW? Are they having their cars designed by AI? It all looks like vomit. I actually wanted to replace my ageing E81 with the G45, but I'm certainly not going to get one with this look.

Yes, I know, people often grumble when they see new cars and end up buying them anyway. But that's definitely not the case here. It looks terrible.

The point is that lots of people declared the leak a fake due to the diagonal bars.Every grille looks slightly different, of course, but the fact that the F70 has the diagonal bars is a good hint that this is probably not fake but might be part of the new BMW design language going forward. I declare it a fake because it's sitting in a place of an X2, and there some noticeable (if you look close) photoshop around the door (that's next to the front of the car).
