Didn’t say I was surprised… having sat in the new 5 it’s the same. Anything developed during or post covid has been nerfed. Just given this is their largest selling model I thought they would of put more effort in. For example Mazda is not a premium brand, yet they are creating much nicer interiors and putting straight sixes in their SUV’s. This barely looks any better than an X1..

i've been critisizing BMW's recently as much as everyone here, but that's just where the industry is headed.

MB may LOOK good, but the build quality has been awful the past few years. I think BMW has maintained that so far

Lexus has had huge pushes down market too in terms of interior trims etc similar to BMW, but they also seem to keep the build quality

Porsche, HUGE declines in the Cayenne LCI in terms of material choices throughout the entire refresh, there was a video going around comparing pre and LCI and it was wild how cheap it is compared to the price increase

Then there's Audi who haven't updated anything in years

Yeah, there was a thread when the first image leaked and people were about to boycott BMW. I guess overall, they both are mediocre.

Unlikely, they seem to be official BMW images (exterior and interior) that is why they have been pulled down.
