I want the longest range possible (370 to 400 mile range) And yes, no more than $60K. Between now and then (mid 2025), I need to look for something to replace my minivan, that's why I look into the new BMW X3. How about you? What's in your fleet?
My fleet is small and already mentioned in prior posts:

X3 xDrive30i
GLS450

It's threatening to expand but I've managed to hold off a 3rd driver...for now...

I mentioned 2028 but Samsung SDI and Toyota earmarks 2027 for mass production. Also with Toyota, there will bipolar LFPs and Li-ions as early as 2026.

Maxell / TDK already have solid state batteries but the ceramic one from TDK is harder to upsize I believe. Maxell says future applications includes automotive industry.

20 years of life is great. That would mean I can go BMW or Porsche BEVs because the financially devastating powertrain write-offs will be history lol.

Right now, me and my family have the MB C (2017), VW ID.4 (2023) and the old but not beat-up Toyota Sienna (2004). My goal is to have 2 EVs and 2 ICE cars.

Hi All, regarding the stitch on Dashboard, I checked the UK+Germany configurator, it only show up with KTSW (Black M Alcantara/Veganza with Blue Contrast stitching) upholstery. If you choose Veganza only upholstery, no stitch on dash! I am not sure that "Polyester" fabric dash will last long as dirty can trap in rough surface?

Anyone know when the USA BMW configuration for the 2025 X3 will be activated?

The US Configurator always lags way behind the european ones; most of the european ones are very similar and the US one is totally different.

With order banks supposedly opening sometime in July, I'd expect the Config to launch right along with the dealership order banks.

My salesman said the order books open in July, and he expects them to be open within the next week, so I would hope the configurator would be online by that time.

Kick to open tailgate

Is being able to kick under the tailgate to open the tailgate still a feature on this new X3? Maybe I missed it in the pricing and ordering guides. Is it part of Comfort Access?

Yep, it's included as part of Comfort Access, which is a standard feature. From their marketing release: "Automatic tailgate operation comes as standard on the new BMW X3, while the standard Comfort Access feature allows hands-free opening and closing, too."

Has anyone placed their orders with their dealer yet? Apparently I'm the 1st to submit an order ...

I went last week to spec mine out and have a general idea of what my build is going to look like:
X3 30
Brooklyn gray (for now)
Black Veganza (for now)
Driving asst. Professional
M Sport
M Sport Professional
Parking Assist.
Premium Pkg.
Rear sunshades
Front Ventilated seats
Front/rear heated seats
Rear Climate Control

Debating if I should upgrade to Merino Leather or not? How bad is the Veganza?
should upgrade my wheels to 20" 1036M all seasons from the standard 19" all season?

Also what is Dynamic damper control? does it make the ride more sporty or more comfy? (My salesmen wasn't pushing it) Does anyone know if the 30 gets the "boost mode" for 10 seconds if you use the paddle?

I'm looking forward to it. I wanted a more "normal car". Since I totaled my '13 Lexus GS last September. It's going to be my daily, going to and from work (I commuted long distances) costco runs etc.

I was looking at the X1 M35 but I thought it was too small.

I was thinking of going to the M50 but I don't need it as if I want to have some fun I'm still keeping my '21 X5M Comp.

Did you actually get a production number? Or did you just share your build with your dealer, so that they can enter it later when they get an allocation?

My dealer said they haven't gotten G45 allocations yet. If others are seeing otherwise, I will need to start pestering my dealer again.

Just my build so I'm on the list so once allocations arrive they can spec it out.
No allocations yet he said prob. mid to late July.

C4P Brooklyn Grey metallic
ZMQ M Sport Professional Package/Red calipers
ZPK Parking Assistant Package
ZPP Premium Package

453 Front Ventilated Seats
534 Rear Climate Control Console

Should be here end of August/1st week of September (hopefully).

Do you all think the Driving Assistance Pro Package is worth it on the G45 in the US? I see that Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is now part of the Premium Package, instead of being bundled with DAPP. I'm not sure if the remaining features in the DAPP are worth it, especially when I like retaining control of my own car. Thoughts?

what interior did you choose?

I'm still undecided on doing leather vs Veganza or Veganza/alcantara

It depends, if you want all the bells and whistles, then go for it. If you want a decent SUV and sometimes go to skis or mountain roads, then a AWD should be enough. I would not pay more than $60K out of the door for the X3. If I have a better budget, then I go with the X5.
