This tread is about as realistic and believable as the " how much did you pay for your M3 thread".

When you said it's possible to save as much or more than your annual salary in high yield stocks, your statement implies someone can buy stocks at the value of their yearly earnings or more. In other words, your statement implies if I make $50k a year, I can buy $50k or let's go for broke $100k in high yield stocks. That's where my comment about if you work in Federal Government accounting came from. I get the gist of what you're saying. But you're incorrectly using the word save. To save (or saving) is the process of putting money away. What you're describing is the after results of saving due to earnings which results in what you have in savings. Saving/save does not mean the same as savings. |

As others have Indicated your choice of words makes it sound like you invested your entire salary for a whole year. If you have already built up bunch of cash from previous years then yes the market can make more than your salary. 2 million dollars at 1 percent can yield you more than part time at McDonald's, so what.

Having 100% allocation to something following MSCI World Index is a better recommendation. Diversification is the only free lunch in finance. you can diversity in many ways: various asset classes, various products... |
