I'm looking into some straps to help out. The GriPads do well to not slip on the handle, IF I can keep my fingers closed around it.
Not JP10 but I do Chest/Biceps and Back/Triceps so the smaller muscle isn't pre-exhausted. Plus studies have shown that a muscle that has been pre-stretched will actually be stronger...even if by just a little bit.

Personally I know it makes for a better contraction for myself.

I can't decide whether to wait for Christmas, or just buy the Versa Grips at this point. But since last night was the last of my heavier, 6-rep sets for 3 weeks, I can wait and see what Santa brings me.
Did you find them to be a little big? The one reveiw I saw the guy wished he bought down a size

There is some adjustment in them....so mine fit great. Even if it isn't a perfect fit, it still makes a huge difference!

I think it's part of my lifestyle as well as my family. I got my 3 boys going once they all turned 16. all in their 20's and we still all go together along with the wifey to the gym. so the enthusiasm is real. feels good every time I walk through the doors and when I exit. always talking to my boys if they had a good workout and they always reply with a yes! so it's a good feeling to feel knowing myself, my boys and the wife are always trying to stay healthy by working out.

I was a little late getting to the gym this morning...around 5:30am.

God it was packed. So many new faces. I just stayed to myself and got through my workout. No need talking to anyone as they won't be around come February.

Decided to extend my "Active Recovery" another week to let things freshen up some more as once Jan 1st hits....I plan to really be pushing myself hard.

Going back to my modified Westside program for strength. Looking through my logs...last year at this time I was Incline Benching 275 for reps on my last set.

I doubt I could do 250 for more than 3 reps right now. But as you know...it all comes down to how you program your training.

Same here...this morning was my first day back in two days. I still have a few days left in my Active Recovery program...then Jan 6th is when I start back my Westside Hybrid. I'm still sitting around the 3500K calorie mark although the last two days were significantly higher.

I think I am through with bulking. I got up to around 215 last year...but was eating 5K+ calories a day. It was miserable. I think going forward I am just going to try and be the leanest 200lbs I can get to as a target. I need goals whether its body-weight, body-fat, or strength.

Otherwise I get bored pretty easy.

sounds like a pretty good plan for 2020. I stopped bulking since last year as I wanted to see if I can stay lean but without losing muscle. so far it's been great. I would bulk again but I usually eat everything insight just to weigh more but it was never a healthy way of eating.

Wait, you guys didn't go???

Christmas Eve I hit the new back/tri routine at about 8:30, on my way to pick up items on the shopping list wife gave me. Switched back to shooting for 12 reps, but still a bit heavier weights than before.

Since gym was closed, yesterday was legs on teh pavement day. Started to slow down about mile 3, so did the final mile doing "poles" where I sprint between telephone poles, followed by slow jog to the next one, then sprint again. Got that done before all the water fell out of the sky again.

Tonight the plan is chest/bi, haven't done the 12s yet on that combo.

You sir are dedicated!

In the past I would have even went on Christmas Day.....but I know I will never look like a professional BB. So a day here or there shouldn't make a difference.

Definitely need to up my cardio more this year. I always tend to put it off until summertime, but that's really no excuse. We do this to be healthy after all.
