I've seen the new X3 in a private BMW "closed room" event and that picture is IMHO inaccurate. The real X3 looks better, however I personally like the current G01 more.

Even if this is not the actual new X3 I'm sure the design won't be praised like the current model. Let's just face it. With each new model BMW tends to disappoint and leave something more to be desired. Yes, we had some controversial designs in the past but nowadays it's just like almost every person's first response is "oh, no"

Smart BMW, leak a fake render that's obviously terrible, then blow everyone's mind with the real thing in a week. People will praise BMW for being the best car maker in the world. I own a 24 x3m40i.

Well, I don't think anyone's hoping that it will look better than the G01, but some of us are still hoping that it will be an attractive enough vehicle to drive. How much better, would you say, the G45 is than this render?

Well, all I can say is that the new X3 reminded me of the new X1, however I remember thinking that it looked somewhat "less sporty" but "okay". The leaked render is just fugly. On the other hand, I saw the M40 so god knows what the base (non-M) models will look like...

Eh... The new X1 would be ok if the grill wasn't so big. Hopefully this isn't going to be an issue with the X3... Oddly enough the new X3 doesn't seem to be getting an increase in size, as opposed to the new X1... Thanks for sharing!

Sorry to dissapoint, but the new X3 has a very large grill, at least in my opinion. In fact, that's the first thing I noticed.

I think it looks sharp. Just the grill pattern but that would be an easy fix with aftermarket. The side profile looks like the IX which I love. Overall big improvement over the current generation.

hb, you were one of the folks who got invited to the G45 preview drive, right? What's your best guess as to whether the leaked image matches the camouflaged car you saw?

I dont know what to believe.. hd told me it was real in previous post. To me it seem like from the camo videos that this render is not real. The grill should be bigger and I think will have only vertical slats, but it will be like the new 5 series. Its clearly going to have plastic grill and m50 has horizontal version of 5 series looking grill from my opinion. I dont mind it though

Genuinely curious why BMW thinks they need to play around with grille design. The grille should just be the grille, do better in designing the rest of the car - stop trying to be different by messing around with a design staple. There is absolutely no reason to have that grille design. None.

Already filmed the car, a few weeks ago. Actually, two cars. So not sure what else to add

There is always a difference between what we want or think, and what it actually is. Not even sure it's worth debating this, that photo spoke for itself.

If this is real it's pretty disappointing. The new 5 series does look better in person and the interior is pretty nice, so this might look better in person.

I do miss the days when BMW just made beautiful cars full stop. That just doesn't seem to be the case anymore. The X5 still looks great...I also think the new X1 looks great. It's also the class leader IMO but it's not really a class of vehicle that I want for several reasons

I look forward to the videos soon. Its basically in a weeks time. I think this x3 looks good. Its not a great as the outgoing model but not as bad some of the recent redesigns. I more concern with the interior quality tbh. I hope they used good materials
