The crop doesn't really show, even at that generous size. It might not work as a 20x30 print, but it'll get you by for most uses.

I love the Colorado weather, but your's doesn't look terrible to me. What's the humidity there? That's a key factor. I grew up in Florida and lived in Texas for decades. The heat was bad enough, but the humidity made me miserable at times.

still tolerable. humidity peaks in July and august, 40 degrees and 80% humidity.. now its ok, it just became summer over a weekend and didnt have time to adapt

The firmware update for my 5D MkIII works like a charm for big, slow birds like this American White Pelican. I didn't see any faster birds this morning, so I'll do more testing when I return from NYC, later this week.
