I would love to have another one as a project car/beater. Hell even just the engine to tinker around with.

EALm4 - Yes, a garage to hide it from thieves is necessary. Funny that you'd need to park an M4 outside so your $6000 Honda can park inside.

1970 Scout. It was free, but I had to reassemble it. I learned to drive at 15 in that thing, while I taught myself about working on cars.

I actually found the for sale post from way back when... First car, I remember how excited I was to go to the dealership and they were able to find me one with a manual gearbox... And even after all the ridiculous mods, I'm pretty sure she still didn't go 0-60 much faster than 6 seconds, lol...

My first car was a 1986 blue Honda Elite 80 motor scooter. I was 16 years old and bought it new $1,200. Thankfully, my rides have improved some.

This pic is not mine but my Elite 80 looked just like it.

1976 Ford Granada (similar to the one pictured below). Bought it for $400 in 1987, wasn't running right, extremely sluggish. Got it home, checked the timing found that it was set to 8 degrees AFTER TDC, reset it to 4 degrees BTDC and it ran like a champ. Sold it to my dad when I went in the Army, he traded it (plus some cash) for a '60's Ford F150 Truck which he later traded for a 1981 Jeep CJ-7 which I then bought from him about 10 years later.

My second vehicle was a lot more fun, a 1978 Jeep CJ-5 (again similar to the one pictured below). It had a Traclok rear and a Powerlock front diff that would lock up under the "right" (or "wrong") conditions. When using engine braking going down hill, in order to get it to turn, I had to step on the gas to get the front diff to unlock:
