Yup, sadly those stupid vents are in the new '23 X7 that we took delivery of a few months ago. I am not thrilled with them.

Reminds me of Tesla, as many know that's not a positive thing

I hope BMW comes around because I do enjoy their designs (G8X most recently) but not the split headlights and whatever they think passes as a "modern" interior now. I'm not old but who do they think likes this?

Actually, I'd be extremely surprised if we ever see i5 M on the back of a BMW. That model designation would mean nothing to no one. I think we'd probably see a M5i.
...yeah,..."M5i" sounds better.
Better, yes. But still sounds like a rusty nail against a chalk board.

RIP gear selectors :/

How much larger will the 5er get btw? This thing has been a boat since the F10. The E60 was the last model that felt 5-series sized to me.

Seeing this interior makes me even happier with '23 F90. I am not a fan of where BMW is going with this.

Still happy to have my name on the list for an M wagon if it comes to the US, but holding my breath a bit more until we see the final design.
I was thinking the same. Hoping those aren't the actual M seats. The f90 seats now are incredible

I don't even think the F10 qualifies as a boat these days.

It's been awhile since I've followed this development but this is an M5 right? And those r the seats?!?! I'm pretty sure they're just test fits or something right? Someone refresh my memory how this works before I blow a fuse …

Keep in mind that we are looking at a pre production test car. They could be using the interior parts from the 5 series for all we know.

Basically, the gear selector lever could still be in the next M5. We just don't know yet.

Watching the development very closely since this generation will likely be my first foray into the BMW ///M world. I've gotta be honest, I'm really not feeling it when compared to the LCI F90. Still waiting to see the car finally unveiled over the next few years before I decide.

That raised stack in front of the center console makes me feel like I'm in an SUV.

Not in and of itself a bad thing generally, but not what I want to feel in my M5.

I'm wondering if the new G90 M5 will still have the exhaust muffler pops on the down shifts? That's the deal breaker for me. I love how my competition pops on the down shift.

Are those not paddles on the steering wheel?

I don't know if anyone mentioned it earlier but are they really going to get rid of the standard M shifter in the M5? It looks like it from the interior photos. This is currently one of my favorite things about the M cars. I can understand this change in the regular line of cars but I'm surprised they are going this route on the performance models.
