I know it's ridiculous! I guess we'll have to use voice command from now on. Can gestures control the AC?..

I've tried the Hey BMW on my current cars and don't like it.

I don't even want to explore this. Especially if I'm not alone in the car. My wife would make me sell a car, if I had to ask it to turn up the AC))

Yup, I'm still hoping for some magic once unveiled, but all these spy photos don't leave too much to the imagination.

A new and apparently the latest version of the engine B58 is expected. There were rumors that the power would be increased to 450 horsepower in the version m50i. That would be great!

Around town, I can make it work about 80% of the time, but not always. On the highway, it's a 50-50 proposition at best. Also, at least in the current form, a lot of the commands aren't all that intuitive.

If they keep that slope in the rear I have to wonder what the cargo space is going to be.

Also, at least IMO, any reduction in visibility is a bad thing. I don't want to have to depend on the nanny features for basic stuff, as compared to using them now more for augmenting some of the functions.

I Do Not want to be driving a glorified buttonless touchpad. Honestly, given all the states that are banning distracted driving, how the dickens is this not going to result in more accidents? It appears VW is already starting to return to PBs in some models.

I think knobes will probably never come back, unfortunately. All automakers are switching to this format. With knobes the cabin looks more natural and looks like a car and not a spaceship. Although it also depends on the age of the driver. I know young people who like it. Although from the point of view security is complete nonsense. And who came up with this nonsense!!!

No way
It will have Idrive 9 for sure and looking at it - steerign is from X1,the center console is similar and mix between the new 5 and X1..the vents are goign to be either X1 or 5 series (more like X1) ,the seats are pretty close to X1 as well.
The cupholders - a bit higher but with that plastic - pretty much close to the X1

The only buttons will be near the idrive knob and all the other safety/customization of lights etc...it would be good to have DSC button as the X1 doesnt have that

So what you’re saying is the promise of a a higher quality / better material x3 is going to fall drastically short of expectations…

We'll wait for the release and see. There's not much left to wait. From an unofficial source the release is in may.

Can anyone predict if the hybrid version batteries will be under the car similar to new X1 or in the boot as current X3?

It is expected that in the new generation the platform CLAR will be modernized and slightly enlarged, so there is hope that the battery will move under the seats.

It is interesting to know the opinion of the forum participants about the new version of the iX3. At the moment iX3 continues to be tested in the north of Sweden and is planned for release in 2025. For the first time solid-state battery with a capacity of 100 kWh will be used with a maximum range of 700 kilometers. I personally am waiting for the release of the M50i, but now I’m wondering maybe M60 xDrive? Technical and dynamic characteristics are comparable to the X3M . What do you think?
