Having said that - be aware that Tanzanite Blue requires some maintenance. It loses some of its magic when it's dirty. So if you go down that route, be prepared to clean your car regularly if you're not already in the habit. I think it's worth it. But you need to decide for yourself. |

Thanks for everyone’s input. Yes, it’s an additional $1500 upgrade for tanzanite blue. My only other BMW was a Brooklyn Grey m40i that was not PPF wrapped. I’m pretty bad with keeping the exterior clean despite the car being garaged. It doesn’t help that I live in Palm Springs where it frequently gets dusty. I also do like the frozen grey but when I visited the dealer I noticed their cars with frozen colors accumulated water spots. I don’t want to pay $3600 to upgrade to that color only to have to wrap it as well. Typing all this out, I suppose a better option would be just to order with a basic color and then wrap it in a color that I prefer? If it’s a lease, would I have to remove the wrap when I return the car? |

The braking system recall is only affecting X1, X5 and X7. The X3 (G01) uses a different braking system controller. So it would be interesting to know if BMW changed the braking system on the G45. |

Dealer says that they will not be available to sell until October 19th. That sucks because Genius says my car should be at the dealership within a week, so it's just going to sit there.

Normally a couple of hours but can be a few days to a week depending on what part they are waiting on.

Mine entered production today too. I'm out of the country for the month of October and I'm not going to sign paperwork until I see and drive the vehicle, so we'll see if the dealer hangs onto it.

Anyone who has the vin already - can you check if acoustic glass is in spec? Its not an option anymore but some of the materials said its standard equipment now. I wouldnt buy an SUV without it.

Standard features and options vary by country/region so you will want to make sure only those answering from the UK are considered.

The UK press pack mentions acoustic glass, but the UK configurator doesn’t mention this like it did with the G01. My BMW dealer provided a detailed breakdown quote, showing VIN option codes/descriptions, prior to purchase. A UK dealer should be able to do the same for the G45 before you commit. |

If it weren't for this (alleged) hold until October I could be in the car in a few days. |

Just done my weekly check with the 'Genius' and am told my Production date has shifted from Week 40 to Week 4 next year. Sounds a bit strange to me.
