I liked it. I'm a fan of the Daniel Craig version of Bond though.

American Animals. Trailer:
I like true crime stories and this was an interesting one. CNBC had an article https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/15/insi...ot-caught.html . The movie is not really a "thriller" or suspenseful heist story. It's more of a character piece. It's an okay movie overall, entertaining with some flaws. |

Big Bond fan, and love Daniel Craig. Wife & I are going to see it tomorrow at 9. Obviously haven't been to the theater in years, and may sneak a bottle of wine in too (not our 1st rodeo lol).

Bit dissappointing and i love a bug movie. They are just WAY WAY WAY too lax, if we really found life they'd have made at least some attempt to lock the fucker down.

He has a prominent role in American Animals. He's good I thought. He kept reminding me of a friend I had in college who was charismatic but also unreliable and sometimes just witless and self-destructive. Also the real person he is portraying appears in the film, and it's interesting to see his performance next to the real person.

Night House.
I had high expectations for this movie due to the lead actress, writer, and director. Unfortunately, it was a waste of time. |

My brother and nephew saw it yesterday, both of them loved it but said it was a sad but good ending. Apparently my nephew started to cry. I haven't kept up at all with what happens so I'll be interested in watching it asap.

I was sad too. I didn’t cry or anything like that (I never do in movies). But that ending hit me harder than I expected. Actually had a little trouble sleeping that night thinking about how sad it was. It was perfect, emotional, good send off, and at the same time the end of an era and love story. I was okay with Daniel Craig as 007 and now I am a big fan (aside from Pierce Brosnan). |

As I am immobilised after my skateboard injury, I watched a few older films this weekend. A couple of Hitchcock’s today and on Saturday, a fantastic Roland Joffé film, starring Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons: The Mission.
Beautiful film and superb soundtrack .. highly recommend it, if you haven’t seen it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mission_(1986_film) |
