Penance was spending an hour in the Verizon store and not coming out with a phone ordered. The dufus CSR somehow wanted to charge me $735 for a $650 iPhone 7 32GB. When I pointed out to him that they're listed at $650 on their website he says, "oh yeah, well I'll price match that for you and just adjust the tax to match $650." I told him to cancel everything he'd done and left the store. I'll either call or order it online.

Then I went across the street to a place that has decent fishy sammiches figuring at least I'd have a good sammich for lunch. But noooooo, it was packed with kids from the local high school. So no phone, and no fishy sammich.

Karma is a bitch. Should have been nicer to the tax guy this morning.

Things are looking up. 15 minutes on the phone with VZW and I have a new iPhone 7 on the way and a free upgrade to a 10GB plan. Not a peep about $735 or whatever the dufus in the store was talking about.

I've had the same types of issues with Sprint. I see a phone online, but when I went to the store to pick it up they say they are different parts of the company and can't see each other's prices, can't give the same deal. WTF???

But, I never get a fishy sammich afterwards. Maybe I need to switch to Verizon? Although, In-N-Out right next to Sprint.

The more trivial the better!

I'll start.

1. My vehicle only has front heated/cooled seats but only heated seats in the back.

2. My robot vacuum only has 100 minutes of battery life so it has to go back to recharge and come back to finish cleaning.

3. My heated steering wheel only has one setting.

I live in a mid rise so I have valet trash pickup, but I have to have it outside my door no earlier than 11 pm but not later than 8 am or I have to actually carry it down the hall and put it in a trash chute like a peasant.

You poor thing!
I have to wheel mine to the curb but only after 8pm and the garbage truck driver doesn't even get out of the cab, he just actives the robot arm and pick the pails up.

My ‘fancy’ car refuses to accept gas from the pump unless you hold the nozzle a certain way.

so i stand outside in the rain holding the nozzle the entire time, while everyone else in normal cars sits inside nice and dry with their pumps on auto...playing with their phones and scoffing at me.

I have to play car tetris everytime I want to wash cars because I have too many cars and too little driveway... even though I have one of the bigger driveway layouts in the community. PLUS getting whatever car is parked in the right side of the 2 car garage is sometimes a pita because my giant ass truck blocks a good chunk of driveway.

Sometimes I end up taking a car I don't really feel like driving because it's in the right spot to get out easiest.

Perhaps you'll enjoy the payback when one of them gets out of their warm cars to retrieve the pump nozzle but forgets to discharge the static electricity that built up as they exited the car then ignites the fuel fumes. Good times.

That’s crazy! Probably a bit less likely in our wetter FL climate, but under no circumstances will i show this video to my wife...she will freak out and completely cut sweaters/gas stations/cars out of our lives

I have valet trash and can't opt out of the monthly fee despite having the trash chute 10 feet away outside my door and am perfectly fine taking out my own trash.

Additional #firstworldproblem : Doctor screwed up treating my back pain and I had to play Pebble Beach with a limp over the holidays. Couldn't friggin hit a fairway for crap. Been to 3 more PT appointments since. Cost me $0 but trading a bit of back pain for not being able to walk well / swing at all was NOT the outcome I was hoping for when I saw him the first time.

It's actually a name I used way back in the day when I was into "filmmaking" and by "filmmaking" I mean VHSmaking... which actually shoots at 29.97fps... but whatever... I'm simply trying to distract you so you don't notice the actual extent of my peasantry.

I mean for fucks sake my maid Alexa will ONLY vacuum the WHOLE house when asked to vacuum. She REFUSES to vacuum only a specific room. But my current peasant status does not allow me to hire a better trained maid.

Yeah, they fee you guys to death out there. No doubt I pay for it (or my company does) but it's bundled with the rent.

However, when I go outside all I see is power lines and billboards. No Angel island or cool elevation changes. If I want to take a quick drive for 40 minutes I can go see a trashy beach with brown water.

Yes Alexa only vacuum the whole house. I have to open up the app and draw the area I want to specifically vacuum like a plebe!

She also ask me the PIN to start my car too. Alexa should just recognize my voice and just do it and stop asking me to remember the PIN to the Benz or the Tahoe. I can't be bother with that!

I can't believe I still have to have a key on me in addition to a phone to operate the car.

Also can't believe that I still have to wait for a split second before pulling the door handle for the car to unlock itself.

And don't get me started on the fact that the rear view mirror doesn't save its position and automatically adjust between drivers.
