BMW financing interest rate for G45 is now 4.49% (USA)

The November offers just got posted. Looks like BMW Financial Services is now offering 4.49% APR for financing, which is a big improvement from the non-promotional base rate of 5.29% last month.

Dealers can still add a markup of up to 1%. But this is good news nonetheless as the ceiling is now lower. Hopefully this also gives a bit more negotiating room.

Of course this is only applicable to the US market, and you need excellent credit to qualify for the best rate.

That's good news, thanks! Any idea how long it'll take for the rate to come down to the 2 99% being offered for the other models?

Not for a while, I suspect. They're probably going to try to milk the higher rate for a while since this is the new gen of their best selling model. Even at 5.49% (4.49 + 1.00 dealer markup), this is still a better rate than the vast majority of third party lenders. So there's little external pressure to lower the rate quickly.

It should come down a little further shortly after the FEDS reduce interest by the anticipated 0.25% later this year. Also, its anticipated that Fed interest rates will come down further to 3.00%-3.25% by end-2025.

Money Factor not the same rate as Finance

For leases, if finance rates change do money factors change in line with them.

I was told that the money factor was 0.00225 (5.4%) in October does that mean for November it will drop to 0.00187 (4.49%) or finance and MF are different.

Thanks

Dec has traditionally been a good incentive month and you might see 2.99% (especially if the take rate for the G45 is not as good as hoped).

You probably found out already but there is no correlation between the two.

Hopefully you also noticed that your dealer was not giving you the base MF but rather marking it up. The base for October, and again for November, is .00205.

The best source for lease information is the Edmunds forum as they will give you the base MF, residual and any incentives that may be available for your location.

Is that lease calculator on Edmunds accurate for BMW X3? For example, when I play around with the term or lease mileage, it adjusts the residual % accordingly. Everybody talks about a 10K mile lease but I drive much more than that yearly. I’m closer to 15K miles yearly.

The calculator is accurate but you of course will want to verify the inputs. At quick glance the residuals look fine from what I have seen but have not verified all residuals.

Edmunds say 53% residual for 15k/yr. Edmunds told me 57% residual for 7.5k/yr for my car I pick up this weekend and that is what the dealership told me. Just wish I could get the MF 0.00205 but 0.00225 is what I was offered when I agreed the build.

How do I verify all the different residuals? Is there somewhere else on the BMW website that publishes them?

That BMW link at the beginning of this thread is nice, but it only lists the 36 mo 10,000 scenario. What about 24 mo, 48 mo, 15,000 mi etc etc.

No, they are not available on BMNWs site. The best source is the Edmund's discussion forum I posted above.

https://forums.edmunds.com/discussio...-and-prices/p2

As an aside, 24 and 48 month leases are rarely available, if ever.

prime rates affect everything , finance and lease alike . No difference

BMW just hasn't updated or reduced the base MF , just make sure you're not getting marked up
