As far as I know the vast majority will be supplied with normal tyres.

BMW fit non run flat tyres, allegedly (BMW dealer following training lol) due to lower rolling resistance which slightly improves EV range claims, and lower cost per tyre.

The knock on effect is a more compliant softer tyre because the tyre is less stiff, and some don’t like the firmer ride associated with RFT’s. So win win, BMW reduce cost, fewer people moaning.

Afaik the UK spec is with tyre inflation kit, not a spare/space saver wheel.

Do you reckon the boot will have a cut out section for the space saver?

Here in the US, the G45 has no options for RFTs at any size including 21". My understanding is that it'd be the same in European markets including the UK.

They similarly stopped offering factory RFTs with the new G60 5-series last year. So it seems BMW is shifting entirely away from RFTs going forward.

Yes, space saver tire can be retrofitted on every X3 G45 petrol or diesel car. PHEV has no space for the spare tire.

The space saver tire is not available as a factory option in Germany but it is available as a spare part.

BMW partnumber is 36115B55B16

Tire size is 125/85R18 101M

I’d guess it’s the same across regions to reduce cost. You could give Sytner Sheffield a call, as they have a G45 advertised, and ask.

Check the price of a BMW space saver as from memory it’s about £300-350.

No more RFTs for the G45 except for one 19" tire which is not a factory fittment.

This is the list of tires BMWs mounts on X3 G45 in Europe.
