Rear license plate on base vs. M Sport / M50

I just noticed today that with US license plates, the base xDrive30's rear bumper apparently overlaps the bottom of the license plate. Whereas the M Sport and M50 have a dip in the rear bumper which keeps the entire license plate within the body paint area.

Or at least that's how it looks on the configurator web site. See below (M Sport on left, base trim on right).

For those of you who own the base xDrive30--does this match what you actually see on your car in real life?
