I still can’t get over just how cheap this new interior looks, especially the passenger side dash where they just ended the ambient lighting strip where the screen ends instead of carrying it across to the door card. God it is painfully cheap. I hope they plan to majorly improve the looks when they do the LCI.

The grill and headlights really bother me. Also the lack of creases and design elements on the front end. Just looks lazy. An aftermarket grill could help. It's a shame, it probably drives great though with the changes they made and it's a very accessible price point. And no x4 sucks too.

100% this. Such a disappointment. Exterior while it isn’t the greatest, it isn’t that bad. The interior just kills any interest I would have had in moving back down to an X3 in a few years.

I present my opinion as someone who has driven BMW, exclusively, for the past 25 years. I have loved each BMW I have owned.

Aesthetically, the new x3 is a major disappointment, both the interior and exterior.

Sales are flat and they are risking more and more with this BS. I don’t see anything in the lineup that we’ll buy in the future with the exception of the X7. I just went to AMG instead of sticking with M, and I know others bailing as well to Audi and Porsche etc. anecdotal but perhaps tip of the iceberg. This crap has gone too far. The X3 is their bread and butter, and I’ve seen almost universally negative responses. They better not screw up the X5 next.

Interior is ultra basic. I get iDrive 8 and all that sure. But this one overall is just super basic. And this color makes it especially not appealing

I said this before the latest X1 interior flows better with everything compared to this. Even the dash/idrive/console cbination looks so much better on X1, even with smaller screen.
