So I believe these videos are a more accurate representation. The lighting in the video posted above is yellow.

Brooklyn grey has underlying baby blue to it which I find off putting. Brooklyn grey is nothing like the Porsche chalk which my wife has. Dune grey is like an off white in certain lights with a kind of sands underlying it. It’s very subtle and some of the YouTubers in the comments have called it a dirty chalk and said it’s subtle. I don’t believe beige is an accurate descriptor. I haven’t seen it in person either but that’s what I have gotten out of the videos posted on YouTube.

Essentially Dune Grey is a tone of beige. Having seen in in real life on an M50 it’s not a colour I’d choose for a sport model, more care home than race track lol.

I wouldn’t consider it an agressive masculine color. But it’s far from nursing home. This isn’t champagne on a buik.

I would get this over Brooklyn grey which in my opinion is an awful color. But I don’t love any of the color options. I wish they had carbon black.

It’s the kinda colour my grandma would choose on a Fiat 500. It’s nondescript and bland looking in the flesh IMO. The car at GFS in the video you posted above is the car I viewed.

I can only guess BMW’s design goal was to make the G45 M50 bland and as far from sporty looking as possible.

That said, given how the rest of the G45 looks and feels, this colour will probably be popular.

Yes, BMW colour palette isn’t great, and it seems to want to call everything something grey.

Think Python is my next colour…..

From the BMW configurator with the beige interior, in case you haven't tried that yet.

Looking at a computer generated image doesn’t usually give you a solid idea of how something is going to look like in real life.

Any color other than white, black and grey is a welcome addition, in my opinion.

Look in any parking lot, and 99% of the cars are either white, black, or grey.

Thank you Joey. Us Dune Grey buyers who bought it sight unseen have had many sleepless nights due to the weight of this decision and the high risk burden we’ve clearly taken on in terms of automobile aesthetics.

We need all the support we can get. We are all hoping it won’t be a monstrosity.

I’ve ordered Dune Grey unseen and am hoping these photos are a near match. Look at the white of the BMW roundel to see the contrast.
It’s definitely a grey and not a beige .. in these pics…but who knows.

In person it’s beige to my eyes not grey, or at least the car being shown at GFS was. Obviously the lighting conditions affect the perception of the colour.

Problem with photos is it will potentially look different to reality depending on the capture device, processing, lighting, display device etc.

The problem with BMW is it uses words to describe that are contradictory to reality i.e. Carbon Black is dark blue, Sapphire Black is carbon/black in colour. So if you thought sapphire would have some blue, you’d be disappointed, and similarly if you though Carbon Black, would be black.

Beige might be overstating it -- but it's definitely a very warm-toned gray. If you're expecting a neutral gray like what those photos depict, I think you're going to be disappointed.

Warm grey seems to be an accurate descriptor. That’s how the bmw designer described it. I don’t think it’s going to look like an old champagne ford focus or Pontiac, which I think is what most are worried about.

lol you’ll know soon enough if you’ve ordered this colour unseen. I would not call it grey having seen it with my own eyes.

I don’t know. I like it. Looks different. If I could get carbon black without paying the premium for individual colors but from what’s available it’s not bad.

Personally, I think Skyscraper Grey suits the G45, as it’s not too light or too dark, and it’s a proper grey, not a “hint of” type colour. It’s hard to fathom why BMW only options this on the G45 30.

I see a lot of grey nowadays. I would love to see them offer emerald green color. Maybe I am just a minority.

Anything to strike a blow against the German Color Scale or similarly dull related tones. If I was a G45 buyer, this is the only one I'd consider just to stay awake while looking at it. (Maybe...Tanzanite)
