The new BMWs look better in person. They don't photograph very well; photos can't capture the lines and dimensions properly. I think the new X3 looks great; very aggressive. The other day, I saw a new X3 M50i sitting next to a 2024 X3 M40i, when I was at the dealer getting a recall taken care of for my family's X5. It made the 2024 look really old, immediately.

Indeed, I was surprised Mark gave its driving performance such praise since he was quite lukewarm, at best, on the G87 M2.
That said, I agree with him on this X3 review. |

I wonder how much 'whining' the Geese did!

Looks Great. Very Aggressive. To all of you who dont want cars to looks aggressive (read: makes me feel safe inside) - look away from BMW. This is the current language, they are not changing it. BMW Buyers of today want only aggressive looking cars. Sigh. Im sadly in minority who doesnt want my cars to looks aggressive, but just good (smooth, no sharp angles etc). One day.

Not sure what is aggressive about the design, it looks very shapeless from the front and not particularly pleasing from the side view. The rear is the best part of it and looks nicely composed to me. I don’t think the exterior is really the issue though, it’s the dollar store interior. The fact is drives so well certainly redeems it to some degree, but that isn’t a surprise as BMW’s engineering is the best it’s ever been. Curious to see how the SQ5 compares once that hits next year.
