Environmental seriousness
What's worse for the environment? Having 19 kids or spilling 200 million gallons of crude oil into a major gulf?

I'd say 19 kids if you can not afford to educate them, and they end up being fuckups

In all seriousness? Having 19 kids.
Researchers & scientists at the University of Oregon have actually done the math. http://oregonstate.edu/ua/ncs/archiv...ental-emphasis If any of those 19 kids has any kids, and any of those kids has any kids, then it creates the carbon footprint that keeps on giving. They actually came up with a term for the ongoing impact: Carbon Legacy. Basically, for each child you have (who then creates a carbon footprint of their own), that has an impact that is 20 times greater than the impact of driving a car, recycling, using energy efficient appliances, etc etc. Wearing a condom will be 20 times more effective at curbing greenhouse gases than trading in your Excursion for a Prius.

That's a fun little study but I don't think any kids are creating dead zones larger than the state of Connecticut in the gulf or painting ducks and shrimp with oil.

Kids (current and future consumers of resources) are EXACTLY the reason that companies are undertaking these risky activities which have such terrible side effects.
Having 19 kids, who then each have 19 kids, whose kids then have 19 kids, creates the population which creates the huge aggregate demand for the kinds of products which require oil, and the companies then respond to that demand, which results in problems like you mentioned (ducks coated in oil, etc) The amount of money spent on these risky activities worldwide is directly proportional to the demand for them, and potential $. Billions would not be invested if trillions of potential revenue were not visible at the end of the tunnel.

So, you'll be able to go into their admin settings on the control panel, and turn off the audio output? Or are you just cruelly teasing me?

Okay when you talk about have 19 kids we all know which family you are talking about and the situation is far worse then you think since you know each of those kids in that family is going to create a herd of kids themselves, that family alone is solving the declining birth rate in Japan. They have two of those kids married off now and the first one is already on the 3 kids and it going to be a matter of months before the next one starts popping them out. They are not sending any of the girls to college so all they know is what the mom did.

They are following the bible which said prosper and be fruitful, meaning crank them out as fast and as long as possible, I suspect she will only stop when her body will not product anymore. she is only in her 40's she could have another 5 or 10 yrs of production left. |

Well, by the 19th kid, I'd imagine the answer is "quite quickly, with a minimum of resistance or friction".
