Thumbs up LG G Watch R: Finally a Phone Watch I'd Actually Consider!

This is by far the nicest, cleanest and most multi-purpose Phone-Watch available. And it looks damn good too! Leave it to LG and ANDROID to release another winner in the cellular industry.

..... my phone has the time on it already...., and I have a fancy watch.

I guess I am getting old or something, because I don't understand.

You need to watch (no pun intended) reruns of Get Smart. Talking into your watch is cool. Although I'm not so sure about talking into your shoe. That's still iffy in my book.

@Billup in your case you're all set, you don't need it. It's for people who do not have a fancy watch but plan on getting one. I've been saving bread because i was gonna buy a Rolex.
But i'm actually thinking of buying these new smart watches. Whats the point spending 5K+ on a Rolex when i can get a smart watch for $250-$500 and has more use than a classic watch.
I have an iPhone but Apple watch looks childish, i can't imagine wearing it with a suit. However this LG and the Moto 360 have that classic gentleman look. The only thing is that i dont have an Android.

Anyone else feel that smart watch technology is not going to take off? I don't see it having the same success as the smart phone.

It really does have a good look, and I think the concept behind it is neat and all, but I would feel like I'm trying to Inspector Gadget my way through life with it. I saw the normal G watch it tells you the weather and stuff, and that's cool as shit, but I can just pull my phone out and look at the weather.

I like the innovation and the expansion on the market, making new toys to play with, because that's what makes the world go around, but somethings I think are just a revolving door.

LOL, listen here Inspector Gadget, I'll buy one of these watches when they figure out how to make a hologram of myself in my desk at work so I can stay home and do shenanigans all day.

It's nice that it's finally a design that doesn't look like it belongs on the wrist of either a nerd or a child. But watches like these, I merely see them as repeaters. Why? Because you already have all this on your phone. Do I really need ANOTHER GPS? I have one in my car, and one on my iPhone. Do I need ANOTHER place to pick up my phone call? Do I need ANOTHER place to read text messages? Do I need ANOTHER place to record voice notes?

Actually you don't nor can talk into the watch. It is used as a Bluetooth connection between your phone and car or headset.

I just like the fact that it doesn't look like something out of Star Trek.
I like watches watches anyway. I also like how you can change the face with multiple high-res displays.

Why would you need to do that when...., wait for it...., you can bluetooth directly to your car or headset.

Did you not read what the hell he typed? Are you ignorant? You can now..., pair your telephone, to your wrist watch, TO YOUR BLUETOOTH CAR OR HEADSET.

HELLLOOO, welcome to 2014 bruh. No longer do you need to connect directly to a different item, you get to have a mediator inbetween. What's better you ask? Uhhh hello, you can't even talk into it. Does it make cool colors? Bet your sweet candy ass it does. Does it tell you what time it is? Within a fuckin fraction. Does it do anything else? .... did we mention IT FUCKING GLOWS DIFFERENT COLORS?

...sorry it does navigation for the blind or deaf as well.
