Audi advertisement in a BMW Forum (56k No Way)

this has to be the most used advertisement ive seen in a long time...ive seen it on bimmerfest, e90post, myspace, xbox and playstation forums, and many others...

I don't know but i don't feel that i am being converted by this ad. But at least Audi is trying, you got to give them that.

Why is it so surprising? Why target only loyal Audi buyers when there are many people on this and related boards who are cross-shopping all kinds of brands?

Also, depending on how they set up the Google ads, they may be set to display based solely on keyword targeting, so Audi may not even have specifically targeted this site.

If they're willing to shell out the dough, it makes sense to me. They know the people who see that ad are car enthusiasts and as much of a BMW freak as I am, I considered the S5. That car is a beast.

Don't be so sure. The S5 appeals to me on a different level than the 335i. While I love the silky smooth howl of a straight six, the growl of that V8 was super sexy. And Quattro is an outstanding system. If I was looking for an AWD car, it'd probably be the Audi, not a 335xi.

after test driving an S5, i was less than an inch away from switching to Audi just because of the S5! i think the ad is really smart. kind of like apple advertising on major windows vista sites and vice versa.
