that IS owner has really really convinced himself he can smoke an M3. wow see what having a new car does to your judgement!

Actually, if you read the replies in that lexus forum thread, a lot of the members had very respectful things to say about the M3, a stark contrast from the Lexus bashing we usually see here.

Well, if they said they smoked a 330 then that's a different story. But is350 smoked a e46 M3?

at least there was one guy there, a former m3 owner, that let everybody know wassup.

the comment from the g35 owner was funny. ok buddy! even against an e36 m3, most times it's even. but an e46? i think not!

I agree......most BMW owners live in one dimension.

Sometimes you have to think/analyze outside the box....

it's pretty well accepted that a BMW provides the best driving sports sedan you can buy.

I drive the competition, it just makes me appreciate my BMW's more

(I want a porsche though!!)

i just read the first page of the post. it seems like most of the people there keep it real. i wouldn't be surprised if the same guy who allegedly raced that M3 came up with another story next week but "smoking" an F430 for a change...

Sad thing is after the first page, things go downhill.
I think i'm gonna start a thread there stating "I smoked a cayenne turbo with my rx400h" for the heck of it

yeah, that was the confusion that the guy himself couldn't get over. maybe it wasn't even a bmw to all we or he knows. and maybe the driver of that M3 was just breaking up with his girlfriend over the phone while getting head from his next one and so he was only stepping on gas sporadically while the IS driver floored it. so in conclusion, the guy is obviously a moron and has no idea what he's talking about and has no idea what an E46 M3 can really do.
