Red interior is a bit much for me but the blue paint is epic.

Sexyy. I do agree that the red on the interior is a bit much, maybe if they just incorporated red stitching instead and more CF accents it would be perfecto.

Need to see one in person. I couldn't stand the SLS so anything is an improvement, well except the worlds ugliest car, the SLR.

From a styling point only, the F Type seems better than this thing. I'm sure the GT S is faster though.

I don't think this color does anything for the car. It needs to be black, white or classic silver, IMO. This blue doesn't look very good. And the red interior loosk silly with the blue.

Why can't BMW come up with something as sexy as this? The noise this thing makes is even better than how sexy this beast looks. Interior would've been perfect with a different color and take off that stupid tablet.

^ agree

the front light design and truck sized sign on the grill ruined the front end for me.

Pardon me, not up to speed with Merc models..........but what's the difference between this model vs previous gull wing model. Are they same chassis?
This seems cheaper in price?

It's a cheaper, uglier, less exotic, more feminine, slower, less powerful and more mainstream version of the SLS AMG.

You can see for yourself that this car looks like a budget SLS. The SLS still looks newer and better than the GT.

Funny, that pic shows exactly how awkward the SLS was. It's like the poor Thunderbird J Mays designed a few years ago.

The GT isn't a bad retro copy, it's something original. The real Gullwing is a thing of beauty, the SLS was an ugly attempt to recreate it. Rumor has it that the chassis was really the next Viper that MB owned after selling off Chrysler and it sure looks like it.

Of course an Aztek has nothing on this hideous beast:

Even funnier that Merc itself admits the AMG GT is inferior to the SLS and not a direct replacement and that says a lot about the standing of the car. I'd much rather prefer the real thing than a watered down budget version of a great car. A sports GT car that embodies all that makes Mercedes great >>>> a wannabe 911 turbo - and an ugly one at that.

So cost uber alles? I'd have a GT4 Cayman over a 911TT, it's a better car.

And again, we're actually just talking styling about the GT vs the SLS. For that alone, I can't see any aspect of the SLS that's superior to the GT.

Further, if you can call the GT-S a 911TT wannabe, doesn't that make the SLS an even worse poseur? It certainly wasn't a car that justified its sticker price. MB is correcting a lot of that and offering something in the SL price range that's actually sporty. Seems like a win win to all but those solely trying to flaunt their wealth at the hoi poloi.

i agree with the comments about the color not really improving the look of the car. i actually it makes the car look worse in the pictures. maybe all of the black accents including the black rims have something to do with it. but i think cars with this sort of design and shaping require more neutral colors.

The blue exterior I get. Looks great, even if the car's design is a little underwhelsming.

The red interior I also get, even if it looks pretty steampunk with endless dials and buttons and controls.

The blue exterior and the red interior in the same car? Uh, no. Hideous.

And the blackened out trim bits and wheels? Not for this design and that blue color.

I'll take my M4 over this monstrosity.
