Pulled the trigger on a Cayman S
Selling my 335i. The 335i has to be one of the best cars I've ever owned. However, the wife is getting a Pilot and I am taking her Accord as a daily, so now my fun car can be even less practical. Combine that with a sickness to trade cars around every year or so....and voila, Cayman S in the garage, figuratively speaking of course

Thanks.
I was quiet because I did not want competition, but I was able to negotiate with this guy after the auction ended and gave him my deposit. After speaking with him, and as you can probably tell from the detailed description and pictures, he's a car nut like many of us http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m32 I shopped all around in a 250 mile radius for leftover 2007's, and though dealers were willing to deal 15% off MSRP, none were quite as good a deal as this. If I had ordered it new, I would have done things a little different, but now I have $$ leftover for aftermarket coilovers and LSD. |

I'm not sure. I haven't decided yet if I fly out and drive home or pay a shipping company to bring it to me. He's in Colorado , I'm in St. Louis. I am leaning toward flying out and driving home except the weather is so iffy this time of year, I may be better off having it shipped. |

CONGRATS! Great price, especially with that few miles, wow.
The Cayman is my favorite sports car under $100K. I hope to be in the same boat as you in the near future. You should swing by CT on your way home

the weather is not the best right now (especially not in colorado) but i would still probably want to drive it back as opposed to wait for a shipping company to deliver it. the wait would just kill me.
congrats!

That is too true. However, with a lot of research I found out how easy it was to make one faster around most tracks then anything short of the GT range. LSD from Quiafe ($1700 installed, lifetime warranty) will do it on most smaller tracks. Larger tracks you'll need to go with a race plenum + ECU flash to bump power into the 345 range...but then of course you have the warranty concerns.

Its great you can get in and outta cars so fast. Nice car nutt for ya.
I loved the cayman s, good power and more , it has alot of room in a small car! You can put stuff in the front and has alot of room in the back. Im 6-2 and felt good inside. Steering wheel could have been smaller , and or came with bigger thumb knobs. Enjoy your new ride! |
