I bought my PS3 long ago knowing that Blu would win.

When Warner abandoned HD-DVD, that was the beginning of the end. Blu was simply the superior format to begin with.

Now, Paramount has to kiss my ass and suck up big time to get me to spend my money on their movies, especially after taking Toshiba's bribe and not releasing Transformers on Blu

I now own a modern day laser disk player (Tosh HD-DVD). No matter, I have a blu-ray too. I like it 10x better than my HD-DVD player.

Hmmmm.... I own one. Sounds like the reviewer needed to update the firmware. It's the fastest loading player available. I'd hardly say it's cheaply built - well, any cheaper than any other DVD player I've ever owned (pioneer, Pioneer Elite, Denon, Toshiba).

I'll still probably wait a year to buy a high def player. My DVD player works very well, and I never use it. It will be 8 months at least before I get the HT up and running smoothly.

I don't think there are any Blu-Ray Family Guy options, anyway.

Anyone use a custom-installer programmed remote? How much do they charge to add a single component to the remote?

Negative on the remote. Consider a Harmony 880, or whatever the latest is. It works like a custom remote, but is setup on your PC. I have a rather complex system, and it works flawlessly. The help function is a life saver for my wife.

I'm happy to see Blu-Ray winning the fight but they have got to release more games for the PS3! I currently have one and love it (just cant get used to Xbox controllers) and next game I'm getting is COD4. I can't get enough of Fifa 08 right now on the PS3. I recently finished playing Oblivion and that was a GREAT game...
