Yes, someday. Maybe not my next car, but maybe the one after.

I haven't driven one and don't plan to until I have the cash for one.

Every time we got out, it smelled like burnt rubber...these poor cars were all < 500 miles. But I did learn something which some of you prolly know as common sense....always be on the gas or brakes. Never, ever, coast.

Yes, it's my dream car, ever since I was a little boy I always said that I would have one some day.
I have been shopping for one for a few months now but I will probably wait for the fall/winter when the prices drop a bit to buy it. |

Meh, I just want to spend my money on cars I will get to drive. The realities in my life dictate a Porsche would get one fast run per month and that would be a shame.

A decade ago, I may have said "yes." As I draw nearer to 60, I think it's very unlikely that I will. I find myself just not caring as much about Nth-degrees of performance capability in the cars I buy. Looks-wise, there are cars I think better looking, although I do like the look of a 911.
All the best.

997 GT3 of either generation would be fantastic. However, here in the UK used values have gone through the roof with some examples asking £80-90k.
Collectors seem to be gobbling them up and I guess it's something to do with the pre-991 cars being manual only, "last of the real breed " etc. A rare 4.0 GT3 RS recently sold for £425k!! I would also consider a Turbo, pref from 997 guise. Although 996 models are currently reasonably priced. The only 991 I have driven was a Carrera S and I found it a bit sanitised. I guess I've been spoilt having previously only driven a 997.2 Turbo and 997.1 GT3. Bob |

I picked up my first Porsche from the factory in Zuffenhausen on the morning of my thirtieth birthday and had 7 more until the day there was no longer enough room to fit my daughter in the back seat.
Now that she has left home its time to revisit that mild obsession, hopefully with a 997 turbo pdk sometime in the next year or so. |

I'm thinking about it. I came close to getting a 991 C2S, but went with the M4 instead.
