Preordered an iPhone

Who here has preordered an iPhone 6s or 6s plus?

I've never been a fan of the "s" line of iPhones. Sticking with my 6 until a worthwhile upgrade is available.

I have a 5s and may consider it but I never pre-order. I like to see what problems other people have first. I'll probably just wait another year for the 7 to see what it brings.

I still have my 5, longest i've ever had a phone.

I was fully ready to buy the new one, but decided to switch to the darkside and bought a one plus two. I hope I don't regret it but figured it was time for a change.

Worst case, I use it for a few months then sell it and buy an iPhone when the hype dies down...

Not really, live photos and 3D touch isn't something you'll get.

Never pre-ordered any my previous iPhones. Always just go to the store on day of release and get them. I'll probably wait a few months after this release as I got the 6 and don't really need to upgrade right away.

I also got OnePlus One, and for someone on a budget, $299 for 64gb and unlocked cannot be beat

How did Apple "train" their followers to wait like that?

Example, I have a sweet ThinkPad ultra book and it has the letter s after 450. If 6 mos later a 451st came out, I wouldn't even pay any attention, as it already shreds with a ssd and 5th gen core i7. Different mentality.

Apple is super successful, personally I own a iPad 4 (retina), and iPod, and the stock, but am not a fan...

I did the upgrade every 12 months plan on AT&T. I just paid the last 2 installments of $75 and then pre-ordered an iPhone 6s. I definitely like this plan. I could have paid it off and then sold it for a profit, but didn't want to go through the hassle.

Live photos could not care less for, the pressure sensitive display is interesting but not a must have for me. I will wait till next one at least. Honestly there hasn't been anything "must have" in a while. I don't even care for the larger display of the 6 rather it had stayed smaller.

Same goes for ipad nothing really I want. I have a 3rd gen retina ipad and honestly it's sitting gathering dust. I find no use for it other than passing time while on the throne.

Paying $30-$40/mo. in perpetuity to get a new phone every year seems like a bad idea but I haven't looked into it that closely. Is there a residual value credit of some kind (because otherwise it seems like you'd be paying the full cost of a phone every year)?

I pre-ordered 4: Space Gray for myself, a Rose Gold for my cousin, a Silver and Rose Gold to re-sell. All are 6S Pluses 64gb.

Oh, and I have a 5S now. Always been with the S's: 3GS, then 4S, then 5S, and now 6S.

Preordered 9 in total with my brother, gotta cancel 4 because of later shipping days. Gonna sell them to rich impatient people try to make $100-200 each then use the profits to upgrade from my 6 plus at a later date since I can wait..

It's kind of the same thing about leasing vs. buying a car. I love having the latest tech. So, why own a phone that will be outdated when I can essential divide the payments up with no interest and get the latest one? I'll probably do the same with the iPhone 7. Actually, the pay off for the phone was $400. I could have paid it off and easily sold mine for $500+ since it's in flawless condition. That's why I think it's a good option.

Do you pay less for phone / data service since the carrier is not subsidizing the phone purchase?

already pre-ordered mine last night

i got it from apple 6s 64gb gold, 12 months next plan, will be paying this phone off by the time the 7 comes out and i will just sell it and get the newer one,

its sounds better than renewing the contract, and the nice thing is that the phone comes out unlocked!! easier to sell.

at the end you pay full price of the phone, but in payment so its really not bad. i've done my research for the past 3 days lol.

It's when you buy a $600 phone for $950 over time. Wish I would have thought of that.
