I love Barbera red metallic there's a lot of nice individual colors that BMW has.
Personally I would never get an Explorer its just a soccer mom car and would handle terribly compared to a BMW. We have leased many as business vehicles and while initial quality is great, after the warrenty is over everything that can go wrong does and this has happened on 4 f150s. We got tired of it and just bought a tundra couldn't be happier. Only thing this has on our cars is tech since we have an ageing platform however I would much rather buy a CPO x5 over a new explorer. |

However, an Explorer Sport handles really well for a vehicle its size and price range. As for quality, the Ford Explorer Sport is a severe duty fleet vehicle. It probably gets pushed harder than most BMWs everyday as a police vehicle. This definitely has its advantages as it's put through more real world testing than most other SUVs. |

Hellrot & Melbourne disagree with the above statement.

Meh, just prefer my reds with more blue, less yellow. Just like the difference in Rosso Corsa and Scuderia Red:
Melbourne is metallic, not a fan of metallic paints. Yet I currently own a Sapphire Black one and a metallic white one. Oops. |

Money is no object, it's GL63 all day. Money is something of a factor, Yukon Denali XL. Money is the main factor, Toyota Sequoia.

Pros: -Styling : Refined / Classy. -Interior : Depends on the options you choose. I found the interior to have a high quality finish. Cons: - Paying a high premium for something that isn't that special. - Comfort : Lack of I should say. - Premium Trim : GL 550 4Matic starts at $91k - Maint. : Be prepared to shell out $$$ What could make it better: - If performance is something you truly enjoy even in big SUV then the GL63 would be something that will put a smile to your face, but the price tag to it not so much ![]() Note that the GL63 AMG starts at $121k, a SUV is made to transport people around in the safest manner not made to transport you and your family around at high speeds. My thoughts on the Escalade ESV: Pros: - Comfort : Probably in my opinion the most comfortable SUV made. - Features / Options : A lot come standard, and if anything you need any else its reasonably priced. - Styling : Gorgeous. - Premium Trim : ESV Platinum starts at $93k - Maint. : More reasonable than a Mercedes. Cons: - None that I can think of. ![]() If Escalade is above your price point then a Yukon Denali XL is your second best choice. |

That's a personal opinion. I loved my Canyon Red 540i and love my Siena Red Z3. Had an Imola Red M3 and liked that color the least of the three. Also had a Cinnabar Red 325is and liked that red also.
I have never had one, but Melbourne Red, Vermillion Red and Chiaretto Red were all great reds. ![]()

Any thoughts on the expedition or navigator,? They have the new turbo 6 and do 0-60 in 6.5. I'm a speed hound. Infiniti qx I'm also looking at. Want to keep it below 70k. Figure a used 2015 escalade or Yukon Denali xl. Sequoia is too small.

If you are considering the QX why not take a look at the Grand Cherokee SRT? 2015 CPO Escalade / Denali XL is best choices. My opinion is biased but when it comes to large SUVs I prefer comfort over performance. It would also help besides performance what other things are you looking for? ![]() |

My grand cherokee lease comes up in a few months and I am fed up with jeep service. I am probably going to move on to something else.
I need a non flashy suv for work. I am going to take a look at the Explorer, not sure what else to look at. Maybe a Volvo? Do Volvos stick out these days? |

That being said, I really like the car and only had minor issues in the last 1.5 years, but if something major goes wrong I will be out of a car for a while with no loaner. I currently have a check engine light on, my "appointment" to drop it off is on 12/15. |
