I would expect the track time outcome, considering how aggressive the aero is on the ACR. Makes you wonder what GM could do with the C7 if they made a hardcore model. Actually thought the Z06 wouldn't beat the TA time, but it did handily.

Shocking lap time by the Viper. There isn't any doubt as to what is the most hard-core car available today.

Side note, how is the Z06 only trapping 124? A 650hp, 3500lb car should trap faster than that.

Although designed to compete, I believe both the GT3 RS and the Z06 w/07 can be reasonably daily-driven. With that huge wing and every other aspect of the design, the ACR seems designed for the track. Props to winning, but not sure if I would ever consider.

Good video. Honestly, if I can pick the Porsche, it's Viper for me all the way. That car has always been special to me since the first one (anyone remember the original Need for Speed video game??).

And I don't know what that guy is talking about. I think the engine sound of the Viper is absolutely amazing in real life.

I'd only have the Viper for like they said, a 'fifth car'. If I had the money to have a Viper as a fifth car, I'd spring for the Porsche, even a standard GT3, no contest.

The Z06 really is quite a different beast. It's more of a super muscle-GT than it is a proper track car. It is, however, bloody fun in it's own right. And a great value. I'd actually probably have one in vert form.

It is odd considering multiple owners are well into the 10's with stock cars, manual and auto. Someone just ran a 10.4 @ 134 in a stock 8-speed auto Z06.

HorsePowerAddicts just did a 9 sec pass at 138, with only $2500 in mods on the car(w/ 93oct).

That video was an absolute riot!!! Z06 is a beast, ACR is an "ASSAULT ON THE SENSES", GT3 RS is a... german car lol.

Great video, pretty obvious results. Can't wait to buy a z06! Been dreaming of it for a while now.

I don't believe that 'stock' time. That's far outside of the range of auto publications to this point.

Summary;

Viper takes a dump on all but sucks on the street.
Z06 is great on the street but isn't well sorted out for the track.
Gt3 Rs is still overpriced.

Having personally driven the Z06, I can say that it is an outstanding vehicle and would love to own one... the 8sp tranny is the only part that sucks about this car but perhaps the answer is to get a manual.

Incorrect, the official time by the ACR on Leguna Seca is 1:28.65. It is THE worlds fastest track car. The time presented in the video was just for quick comparo purposes with the the Vette and GT3

Guess I should take it out and give 'er a spin
