Exclamation Jaguar F-Type SVR Leaked!

"Come to BIGMARCUS..."

I have loved this car since it's introduction and still do! It has so much curbside appeal and road presence. And it is so nice on the inside and actually comfortable. I'd personally take it over a 911 or any car in it's price point (R variant). And now Jag goes and gives it even more yummy goodness? WANT NOW!

According to a recent report, details of the upcoming Jaguar F-Type SVR have been leaked. Christened as Jaguar’s ultimate sports car, the F-Type SVR features a new front bumper with larger air intakes. It also gets a front splitter, a ventilated hood, and a unique rear wing that automatically extends and retracts according to the car’s speed. Other notable bits include a titanium exhaust system and 20-inch forged aluminium wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires. Powering the Jaguar F-Type SVR is a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine that pumps out 575 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque. The V8 is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enables the coupe to sprint to 100 kmph from standstill in a mere 3.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 322 kph. The convertible offers similar performance but its top speed is slightly lower at 312 kph.
The F-Type SVR will be launched soon. Stay tuned...

I would buy it, but alas it doesn't come in a manual.

The power bump over the R is nice, but the price hike will probably be substantial. And the rear wing is not doing the otherwise beautiful lines of this car any favors. I'd probably just stick with an R.

What I really want to see is XE R or XE SVR information.

I have loved this car since it's inception, but I'd stick with the regular ole R or V8.

Funny I came across this Thread this morning...b/c sometimes I am my worst own enemy.

Not related to the SVR, but an F-Type Coupe R nonetheless, I too have been enamored with the Jag coupe and I currently have one offer in hand and another one real close for a 2016 Type R Coupe. If anyone is in the market, they are giving some hefty discounts, and that's after negotiating to invoice. But I'm honestly torn. I am SUCH a BMW Fanboy, I pathetically feel guilty leaving the brand--in part (as my wife currently has an F15 w/MPPK and MPE). But after 11 BMWs in a row since 2003, they sort of all begin to merge together.

Currently, I have an M4, and absolutely love the car overall. But I get bored so easily and want something else after only the 1.5-2yr point. Typically it is another BMW, but not really this time. I have a wonderful relationship with my local BMW dealer in both sales and service, which adds to my reservation about getting the Jag. I also find the connection from these BMW forums to be an awesome experience and I enjoy the interaction and passion shared among all of us. Speaking of passion for the BMW brand, I typically take advantage of all and any of the offerings BMW provides either with their Driver Events, European Delivery, Driving Schools, etc... So basically I'm addicted to the BMW kool aid.

So when I get excited about the possibility of enjoying a Jag Type R for a few years (which I am), I'm left worrying will I regret unloading my M4? And I think, probably yes! But then if I keep the M, this vicious cycle is likely to raise it's ugly head once again in the not so distant future and I will be in search of something else--likely something non-BMW.

What makes this even more challenging to decide is the financial aspects. If the Jag were several hundred dollars more per month than my current lease, I could justify not making the move and being content with my M4. But due to the positive equity with my M4, we are talking less than $100 bucks more for a $108k car!

Ultimately I know I need to listen to myself/needs and obviously complete strangers should not steer me one way or the other. But I'm just curious if others have this ridiculous, cult-like following toward BMW?

Thanks, I hope not.
But I do know I'll be back in an M in the not-so-distant future

That much power with awd and its 0-60 is 3.7?

Would've thought it'd be a lot closer to 3
