1988 930 Single Turbo
Ladies and Gents,
As I get ready to say goodbye to this amazing car (), I figured I'd start a thread on here for you guys to see. This isn't my car personally, so bear with me on the mod list. Some of the stuff I have written down, and some comes from memory. So just as the title says this car is a 1988 930 turbo, but originally came from the factory non-turbo. It has an aftermarket single turbo system built by ProtoTech in Ft. Lauderdale. The car makes over 750 whp on high boost (race gas) and just over 650 on low boost (pump gas). I wanted to post this for you guys to appreciate and leave feedback, so I'm not going to share the whole "story" of this car, but please feel free to ask any questions. Now, on to the extensive mod list that I'm probably cutting short: Engine: Fully built, recently refurbished 3.5L stroker -Twin turbo style headers merging to a single Garret GT42R ball bearing turbocharger. -Custom ProtoTech full width, full engine bay intercooler with custom piping for turbo inlet. -Custom performance ECU mapping for pump/race gas. -ProtoTech 3'' turbo back exhaust. -ProtoTech adjustable 3:1 fuel pressure regulator. -MAHLE Porsche Motorsport pistons. -MAHLE Porsche Motorsport ductile iron liners. -Machined O-ringed cylinder heads. -Raceware head studs. -Oversized race valves. -New bearings/rings. -New gaskets, seals, and O-rings. -Titanium valve springs, retainers, and keepers. -race ported twin plugged cylinder heads. -Custom grind Evo spec camshafts by Web Cam. -Full MSD ignition with 6AL ignition box and blaster 3 coils. -Nology racing plug wires. -Billet twin plug distributer. -New gapped NGK spark plugs. -New airflow meter box. -Full Motronic EFI conversion with 3.2 Carrera intake manifold. -750cc performance injectors. -Twin Bosch 044 fuel pumps. -Twin HKS big style waste gates. -HKS sequential blow off valve. -All new silicone boost hoses, couplers, and clamps. Interior/Transmission: -996 GT2 black leather hard backed sport seats. -Greddy boost controller in center of dash panel. -Hallmeter LED AFR gauge in passenger kick panel. -Davtron intercooler temp gauge in shifter center console. -Boost gauge in dash (to replace factory clock) with a tracer needle to view last boost run. -G50-50 five speed gearbox with factory LSD. -SACHS high performance clutch and pressure plate. -Probably forgetting some stuff here Exterior/Suspension: -Full 993 wide body conversion done by Patritti Design. -Brand new electronic convertible top. -Full leather wrapped rear roll bar with Black Schroth 4 point harnesses. -QA1 adjustable coil overs. -H&R front and rear sway bars. -Trunk strut suspension bar. Wheels: -3 piece Speedline Alessio double steps wrapped in Michelin PSS2's Again, probably forgetting some things but you get the idea. Feel free to ask any questions. Now on to the pictures [/URL] Thanks for looking! Last edited by Analog Imports; 01-31-2016 at 03:36 PM.. |

The 993 P-car is one of my all time fav's, but I've never really cared for any of the 911 convertibles, theres something that just doesn't seem right about that....but the coupe is just so perfectly proportioned.

Correct. The market for the older turbo's has skyrocketed in the passed few years. Thanks for the kind words!
