Must Watch Martial Arts Movie
Donnie Yen is largely a hidden gem to martial arts movie fans in the US. In terms of raw skill, he's truly a martial arts virtuoso with mastery in Wing Chun as well as other styles of Kung Fu and Jiu Jitsu.
Please check out his new film in theaters which also features Mike Tyson: Ip Man 3 Trailer: You can watch Ip Man and Ip Man 2 on Netflix. Enjoy! |

I don't know about the third movie, but the first one was fantastic and the second one was also really good. But the first is one is a must. This one looks a little more like a sequel trying to be bigger and better (or faster and furiouser)

Agree re: Donnie Yen and I've seen IP Man 1 & 2. One thing that cracked me up, and I forget if it was from the first or second movie, was the story captioning at the end of the movie where it makes it sound like China was responsible for putting an end to WWII.

ip man has always been a good run of movies. Grandmaster is also pretty good, a western produced version of ip man.

Grand Master was alright. I don't think it really held a candle to this Ip Man series though.

Donnie Yen is the real deal. For the most part, he limits the use of wirework.
Not a fan of the Crouching Tiger flying stuff. |

agreed, i know alot of people pass on these movies due to subtitles, but i understand the language so was never an issue of me. But your are 100%, Grandmaster was ok, but definitely not the same as the origional Ip Man. Still boggles my mind that i didn't even really clue in that Donnie Yen was in the Blade 2

He's going to bring some butt kicking to the new Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One (think there is a scene of him in the new trailer), the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon sequel, and a new xXx movie

Raid Redemption is my all time favorite action movie and there's plenty of martial arts in there.
I'll watch IP Man 3 but the inclusion of Tyson watered it down a bit for me. Donnie Yen is awesome, glad to see he's in the trailer for Star Wars Rogue. |

Honestly, his movies got really good in the mid-2000s through now. Flashpoint, Kung Fu Killer, etc. |

Donnie was still legit, but the story and film were crazy low budget. |
