335i vs. Evo
Just got my coupe for a couple weeks and decided to play with an Evo...
On the high way. He kept weaving in and out of lanes so i ended up on his bumper. Some smoke shot out of his exhaust and i knew it was on. Threw it in DS(40mph) and was riding his bumper to about 90 easily. At about 100 i decided to pass him and to my surprise, Did it pretty easy Unfortunantly traffic stopped so i was only able to pass about 1CL but felt room for more. Was this Evo even trying? cause i know their quick?? |

Stock vs stock we are about the same as far as performance goes.A modded Evo is another story.I had 2 Evo,s before my 335.Both were modded and smoking quick and fast.On the highway i would probably give the advantage to the 335,but only slightly if both cars were stock.

They are insane launchers. AWD they can drop the clutch at like 5k-6k rpms and go. However the AWD has a disadvantage on the FWY where traction is not a concern.
Parasitic Loss FTL.

I compltely disagree.
I hate when people are so anti any car other than BMW. Yeah i love my BMW but as a car lover you have to pay respect where its due. And some Japanese cars are truely amazing. I have suck respect for the EVO and WRX STI. For the price its hard to find a better performer. Not to mention the IS350 and G37! Amazing. |

If his car was stock I strongly believe the 335i would take him in the hwy. It is hard to say because both cars react very well to mods. On either case and with simnilar mods I am still inclined to say that the BMW will take the Evo on the HWY specially at triple digits.
The greater torque and much better drag coeficient on the BMW will make it favorite. And please, lets not gneralize the people because of the car they drive. I drove/owned the 335i and Evos and I definately don't want any negative comments generalizing. |

this is actually why i made this post. Since i know their are previous evo owners on here i just wanted to know if he was really trying, smoke did shoot out his pipe and he took off so im assuming so. Evos are excellent vehicles. my cousins with mods takes out the dig rather quick
