Got my M3 a Garage Friend
'16 911 GTS. Only had it a day. Don't know what all the reviews say but the M feels faster and the GTS feels more planted. Completely different animals. Lucky to be able to have both.

Sweet addition and congrats!!!
I'm really getting the itch for one of those as well... Damn cars. Please post more info after some weekend drive time. I'm very anxious to hear what you think. And I agree - feels so planted. Those g forces around the corners - it's hard to believe a car can grip so well.

The low end grunt goes a long way in making the F8x feel faster. As far as traction goes... both cars will excel in different situations but overall you can't do much better than a properly driven 911.
Congrats |

I think the 991.2 cars are all 2017's but I might be wrong.

Pre turbo. '17's are all turbo now but the GTS has not been rolled out yet and lots of speculation around when it will come out and how it will be configured when it does.

To my understanding all the Carrera models have switched to the turbo engine except for the GTS, and to my knowledge Porsche have not announced if they will be switching it.

GT cars are going to be the only NA Porsches from now on. 718 Cayman GT4 has been said to stay NA as well. |

I think you are correct. Everyone I talked to at 3 dealers are saying they think the GTS will stay NA but that they don't know. I think P will want to maintain the differentiation between the base 911 and their GT counterparts and as such the GTS will be the hottest base model but will become turbo in the end with the GT's staying NA. Drove the new '17 turbo S and it is amazing. But I have an amazing turbo car in the M and ultimately wanted the GTS in no small part because it is NA.

Thanks for all the compliments. This thing is a lot of fun. Has the PASM Sport suspension setup and sits 20mm lower than a standard model. With that and the painted side skirts looks slammed.
