My opinion is that the have the "best" you would need categories such as:
1. Best 2 door 2. Best convertible 3. Best hot rod 4. Best luxury ride With those categories, you would probably be able to have a consensus reached. but to pick JUST ONE to rule them all? Can't be done. |

E92 M3 - the pinnacle of engine Rev and driving performance. It's a down fall there after. No other engine felt that connected than S65 and the intoxicating feel of driving it! and of course it was paired w/ a beautiful DCT transmission that could really handle such a high rev monster.

BMW E39 M5. The size, weight, design and legendary S62 are still revered to this day.
It was and still may be the quintessential sports sedan. When released the E39 M5 sent everybody back to the drawing board because class was dismissed. Direct competitors and perceived competitors both were left in amazement at what BMW could do. BMW was rolling sevens in the late 1990's and early 2000's that left people guessing what they would come up with for their next trick. |

My top 5 list in no order
? BMW 507 ? BMW E30 325is Mtech 2 (my dads car, the reason I love BMW's) ? BMW E46 M3 (CSL) ? BMW E87 130i (amazing drivers car - the one that got away) ? BMW E60 M5 (that S85 was the pinnacle of M motors)

The 2001-2002 Z3 M Coupe with the S-54 engine. That is without a doubt the best driving car I have ever owned. I would trade my 2016 M3 for a low miles one in a second. Getting rid of my 2002 M Coupe is something I still kick myself for.
