Proof the DC Metro area has the worst drivers.

Wonder if it's the same driver or a relative to this gem:

That's one of the busiest most profitable mercedes dealers in the country - good dealership. I think only fletcher jones in Newport Calif. is bigger.
Who do you think picks up the bill?

Not quite. Euro Motorcars in Bethesda is the largest MB dealership in the mid-Atlantic region. You'd have to go to the greater NY-NJ area to find dealers bigger than them.

Back on topic, I'm still trying to figure out how one could cause such damage in a parking lot. It's not like the car had any momentum due to speed.

Where there's a will there's a way. I'm amazed how many people around here manage to flip their cars in perfect driving conditions. Idiocy/dumb has no boundaries even with the laws of physics.

BTW, one of the news channels reports (unconfirmed) one of the damaged cars belongs to said Danica Patrick.

Probably easier than you think. Pressed down hard on the gas thinking she's hitting the break. Freaks out and keeps foot planted firmly on the gas. Add in at least 273 lb-ft, a fair amount of instability from hitting some other cars, and ground clearance of a GLE, and then she likely rammed that at an off angle into the side of a lower E-class (?). Seems not out of the realm of possibility.

(Maybe also took hands off the steering wheel)

Just another example that drivers ed is simply a money machine that teaches nothing and the people passing these assholes for licenses should be fired.

90% of the people here think driving is a right not a privilege so they don't care if they know how to do it right or not. People don't realize or care that their car is a weapon that's more dangerous than a gun in many cases.

Since Mercedes caters to quinquagenarians, I'm shocked this doesn't happen more often.

Plus it was probably someone from Maryland. This happened right down the road from me.

Funny, I was picturing more an inexperienced youth getting a totally inappropriate first car.
