Good deal on E46 M3?
http://bmw-north-scottsdale.ebizauto...px?iid=2809551
Here is a quick run down... $49,750 with 13,728 miles and has options that I like. especially the color. I'm thinking about upgrading my 328i to this and not too sure what to think of it... from the research I've done, there price is the only thing thats high. I went to edmunds and there price was about 8k different. Is this a good deal? I'm going to see the car in person tomorrow and see what they have to say. So far from the pictures it looks good, but we'll see tomorrow. Thank you for any feedback. Here is the CARFAX for anyone that wants to know... http://www.carfax.com/cfm/ccc_Displa...BL934X6PN65805

You think so? then that way I can pick out my options and pay that kinda money for a "new" I've never bought a used car before so I'm somewhat hesitant, because of the "used" feel, I don't want to deal with someone elses greasy fingers... know what I mean?

used? I'm pretty sure you can get a brand new one for about that price. I mean usually MSRP is about $56k and since it's an old now, dealers are taking a lot of money off the left over M3s (if they still have any). I honestly would not pay that much for an E46 M3.

to be honest, i think the price is a little bit high considering e46 m3 market is..."bad" atm.
but then, there's always room for negotiation and this isnt an exception. if you really like it, go talk to them about it. i "cancelled" my 335i order (320 over invoice and no, i am not in military) after i saw e92 m3 in showroom. |

Brand new that car woulda cost you around $64,000
It has good options, the ZCP is great..but it is a used car and the value is dropping a lot since the E92 is here.. If you can get that car for 44K then go for it...

Yeah, I have mixed emotions about it right now... until i see it in person tomorrow and depending on the salesman; we all know how that is... we'll see how well it goes tomorrow.

No matter how it goes tomorrow, make sure you go home and sleep on it before making any move. Dont get caught up in the moment and end up making a mistake.

My intentions are not to buy the car tomorrow, simply, just to get some ideas together on a new purchase I'm thinking about doing, and this was first on my list. Other car I'm considering, well... I don't know yet, just shopping around hehe.

E46 M3 was the car I always wanted since they came out but did not have the cash back then. I really wanted to get one in 07 but ended up getting an E92 335 instead. I know that once the new M3's come out, the E46 M3 will start to look dated. If you are fine with that then you should get the E46 M3.

I agree with the person who said the market for the E46 M3 is bad (good for the buyer)...One of my cousins bought a 01 M3 with 25k miles for 25.5k (every option except nav)....another one bought a 02 M3 convert for 28k w/hardtop conversion.
Now...a 01 M3 does not look different than a 05 M3 other than minor difference like the LED taillights(which can be put on the older ones)... If i were you, id buy the older 01-03 m3's for upper 20's and MAKE SURE THE RECALL's were done...Spending 49k on a outdated body and similiar power to the 335i just doesnt sit right to me. |

Waste of money!
GOTO m3forum.com and e46fanatics.com look in the Cars for sale section. You will find MUCH better deals the e46 M3 is depreciating very quick and to pay 50k for it now is insane...

Sorry for the delayed response the car was good and shiny, and just looked great, but that's about it, it wasn't worth. For the price, they offered I would rather pay a little more to get something worth my money, it was chipped and scratched and had bent rims, but the salesman said it was all under warranty. the car for its age and miles, was good, but nothing that said, wow... i need this car, there wasn't anything that stood out. I think i'm going to take a look at the e92 and pick my options from there. that seems like a better deal, more for my taste, the e46 looks good, but is just a little out dated for me. the car preformed great and held its own, but the dealership would not budge its price, not even a few thousand to make the sale. thank you all for the input and i'll look forward to getting a new m3/335 soon.

I would get the 335i instead.. but if the E46 M3 is what you want, by all means its your money , however, I think that you can probably find a better deal.. I've seen ones on sale for 30k.
