Winning the F1 Constructors' Championship (and Drivers' Championship) for 3 consecutive years has done a lot for the AMG brand.

Apparently it's mandatory that some of the road car engineers spend time at Brackley and Brixworth and vice versa.

IMHO, way too many resemblances from McClaren and 918... Still, a very exciting car to be anticipated judging from MB's last release - the AMG GT-R.

Why should BMW try to compete with this? All their recent F1 glory? Their super rich history of non Lamborghini built sports cars? BMW should figure out how to make EPS that doesn't suck and where they hid their mechanical LSDs long before they go chasing supercar glory.

My oh my is that a beautiful car. I can definitely see McLaren influence in the design but I wouldn't say it looks just like a McLaren. Loving the new Benz supercar.

I would say AMG and M were on the same level 10 years ago. Today AMG is so far ahead that M is a mere spec of dust in its rear view mirror. Sad considering that BMW M is the reason Mercedes AMG even exists today.

The Project One's engine is the one found on the 2015 Mercedes F1 Car.

Rear looks like the CLK-GTR

At 2.275 Million Euros and with a limited mileage (F1 Engine), I doubt we'll even see one on the road.

Thanks for posting this. I have to be honest, I don't care for the looks. Maybe it just doesn't look like a Benz to me, and I get that there's a lot of Aero going on there and that it's also F1 inspired, but it just isn't floating my boat. Performance is crazy though but I'd rather have the Green Monster from Hell.

Just my two cents.
