Hey Guys!

Divorce is finally over, ex has finally got all her shit. She actually just came over and even grabbed more shit so now I don't even have a nightstand. I was wondering if I could get some ideas on what nightstands would look good in my room along with some cool looking art since all that was taken off the wall. You cant really sell from the pic but the pain is semi gloss - Anew Gray.

Also that dresser with the TV will be at the end of my bed it was just moved out of the way for the reno happening in the bathroom.

What kind of design sense do you have? Restoration Hardware, CB2, Crate and Barrell, IKEA? Mid-century modern stuff?

Such a subjective department but start checking some of those sites and you'll start to get a sense for your style?

Have to agree with John Tanglewood (Porn Star), restoration hardware has great stuff. Masculine enough, and comfortable.

And as an aside, congratulations on your divorce, been through it a few times and it's expensive. Thats because it's worth it!

Oh as furniture, I can't really help. I still buy stuff from Ikea. The rest came from Amazon.

Hell ya thanks bro that was the number 1 goal - next to the house - next to trying to keep as much money as possible which didn't turn out the best I better have got the dogs anyway she never walked them, picked up their shit, and hardly played with them. All she did was lay around with them.

Hell ya it was, funny thing is she has burned through all the money already and is borrowing money from her cowboy bf already to pay rent lmao.

thx for the help so far guys! I am thinking kinda modern I guess, I will post up my bathroom reno pics maybe that will help you guys out a bit more with ideas because I have no idea where to go.

You can always stop by your local Dania or Scandinavian Design. They sell some great looking stuff at a decent price. Or you can search for furniture on craigslist and sometimes get things at a steal. :]

i'd start of by changing the color a different gray and definitely due away with the semi gloss as it reflects way too much light. if anything due a satin in the bathroom and eggshell in your bedroom.

paint is Behr Marquee and the color i did in my son't room is Gotham Gray. goes really well with the white mouldings


in my MasterBedroom i went with a lighter shade of gray called Distant Star also Behr Marquee



in my MasterBatch i went with a Satin in the same color Distant Star. you can see how the light reflects just enough without the glare!

I think its just my sh!t camera and all the resizing that is destroying the quality of the pics but my room and bathroom have the same paint color and actually look pretty good.

Edit: I uploaded a bit better picture so hopefully that helps a bit

I would get some simple black Ikea-ish night stands. And then some framed black and white pictures. Typical single guy stuff. That will go with your existing furniture, curtains and walls.



You could add some BMW artwork if you really want to class it up
