BMW Credit card..

I got TWO things in the mail today about a BMW credit card. Seems to be the same company or whatever. Does anyone have this? I kinda want it just to have it, but i dont htink i would use it that much since i have more credit cards with smallers APR's and probably bigger credit lines, but should i get one anyway?

I got it cus it was kinda cool. And they gave me the highest credit limit out of all my cards. But be careful when you send in payments though. It takes 3 or 4 days to get to them (im talking about online here). So just dont wait til the day before.Other than that, I think it's cool.

Your rewards only go toward a new BMW. I'll take the cold-hard cash, thank you very much. That's why I use my Discover Card for everything. 1% back on all purchases, 5% back on all gasoline purchases, and 5% on different promotions throughout the year. I got $80.00 sent right to my bank account last year.

My g/f has a Chase card that's 5% back off of everything - not just gas/groceries.

There has to be fine print to that offer... or at least something more to it.

Oops, damn - I checked her card again (Chase Cash Rewards) and it's the same as yours (and my AMEX) where it's just 5% off gas/groceries and 1% off the rest. Dammit! Sorry, bud...

Read the fine print. I would bet my left nut that either:

1) It's a sliding scale starting at a much lower % that increases with your spending so that even if you make it to the 3% bracket the average is much less.

2) It's capped at a certain $$ amount per X period.

Okay, I wouldn't really bet my left nut... but I'm pretty sure 3% on everything is too good to be true.

The Platinum Business Cash Rebate card is "up to" 2.5% on all other purchases and is capped at $15,000 worth of spending ($375) at which point the cash back on other purchases drops to 1%.
