what kind of car is it?

I saw this car in the background of a picture, in a magazine. the article did not have anything to do with the car so they did not even talk about it...
but being a car guy it bugs me that I do not know what kind of car it is.
I dont have a pic of the actual car but looked similar to a ferrari GT but with more accented side "gills" and sleeker lines the emblem was roundel looking but had a checkered flag looking design in it...and it was convertible. any ideas?

What's a Ferrari GT? They've made a hell of a lot of GT's (Grand Tourers) but I have a feeling you're referencing a specific model.

Looks very much like the a GT 275 but I am not 100% sure.

It's KIND of similar to GT250 LWB California Spyder but the front, the curves behind the doors and the side make me say it's a 275.

I think everyone is getting carried away by the ferrari pic. I put that as a refference of what I thought the original car looked like...here it is I just took a pic with my digital camera just to put it on here. THIS IS THE CAR I was confused ON.
