That's not meh to me. Having flown a fighter aircraft that took two miles to turn around, the maneuverability of the SU is magic! The vectoring engine nozzles are amazing. Glad I didn't have to fight it.

That's an old soviet air show maneuver from the 80's, first performed with the mig 29 and su27.

While the Mig 35 is somewhat better than the mig 29 and F-4, it may be equal to the Super Hornet. Maybe.
I would rather face that (mig 35) than an f-22 or f-35.

Fuck off. My kiddo stalks Shakira, which means that at five am I'll be listening to an other plane chat, again. I won't make it to 5.01 before I use words like flaps again and I'll be killed.

I have a seven fifteen English lesson already scheduled foe him since he is writing Shakira an email.

"mom I have to sound cool. Do people really speak English like that?"

So fuck you Joe!

No, I am 70 years old and flew the F-4 from 1971 to 1983.

I truly hope the English language lesson is being given by someone like bimmette who will teach him proper grammar and sentence structure rather than, say, a person for whom English is perhaps a fourth language and who possesses a penchant for weird heavy metal rock bands, the members of whom are perhaps old enough to be her grandfather...

BTW, next time instead of flaps, use the word elevator instead. Just for kicks. I want to see his face as he pictures a standard elevator box in a plane. Unless he already knows that it is completely different - which is possible.

Depends on what arena. The 35 is a better dogfighter, given equal pilots. They both have their advantages. Here is a good comparison:

I would disagree. While on paper the 35 might seem a good dogfighter, you have to remember that all russian military systems are very much hyped up. Remember the Mig 25? It led to the creation of the F-15/F-14 because we thought we (the US) were far behind. When a defector flew a Mig 25 to Japan and we evaluated it, it turned out that is was probably inferior to the f-4.
Israeli F-15 pilots regularly thrashed MIG 29's over Syria.

Duh.

I don't know what different parts in a plane are, especially in Finnish, so I keep calling just about everything a flap in Finnish. Or a thingy. I tell myself that that makes them figure out thing on their own and I'm an epic mom for it, but the truth is that I've never had an interest in planes. I know nothing about them. I have to study every time my son wants to know about the planes Shakira flew and nothing sticks in my head.

It's pretty fucking hilarious, but two families here are very grateful of Shakira and his willingness to share. I've told #elsewhere how much he has done for me alone and even when I complain about the questions at five am, our pussy generation should take notes from him.

And fuck you for the rest of that! My English is horrible for sure but I can teach a seven year old how to form a letter that is not too formal but still has the correct tone when writing to his hero!

I think the Mig35 is lighter, and based on the aero design it looks like it could pull tighter maneuvers. So I think it has an advantage there in a dogfight. It MIGHT win against an F22 with a competent pilot, but I don't think an F22 and pilot would even allow a dogfight to happen.
