I'm willing to give Harris the benefit of the doubt as to fault because this article implies that some stupid person just decided to randomly make a 3-pt turn across a rural road. Hard to avoid a collision, especially if it was past a blind curve.

This happened to me last year while out with a group of cousins in an suv, with another cousin following us on his motorcycle. Taxi driver went from dropping off a fare at the curb, right into a 3-pt turn blocking the entire road. Our SUV stopped, but my other cousin had to lay down his bike to avoid dying. This was all at speeds <35 mph

Of course, Harris probably didn't do what my cousin did, which was get up, dust himself off, and start beating the cabbie's ass through his open window. But maybe he wanted to?

And that's why we have speed limits, because you may come around a blind turn to find something, a rock, a moose, a car, etc...
