Eh... think I'd stick with a Range Rover or X7 for that price.

This made too much sense to ignore any longer. Ford and GM have been pumping out their range topping pickup-truck based SUVs for decades, and the luxury branded ones easily top $100k now. No reason to believe Stellantis (I hate that name, but it is what the corporation is called now ) cannot be successful doing the same thing, especially since Jeep branded vehicles print money.
One thing that still isn't absolutely clear to me is whether the Wagoneer will actually be built on a shorter wheelbase compared to the Grand Wagoneer, or if it will simply be a lower spec model. The use of "Grand" in the name suggests that model will be longer, but names don't always make sense. |

Eh, to me this is like Levi's making $500 jeans. If I'm going to buy a pair of $500 jeans, they aren't going to be Levi's. If I drop $100k+ on a vehicle it isn't going to be a brand that the roads are flooded with. In my opinion, having money doesn't mean that you have good taste or aware of better products on the market.
The brand has it's loyal followers and I'm not saying they won't sell, I just feel like there are better options at that price point. Perhaps they should create their own luxury brand like Honda, Toyota and Nissan. I wouldn't drop $100k on a Toyota but I would on a Lexus. |

All it needs is a toilet, shower and maybe a small kitchen and you have an... overpriced motor home.

They really should have figure out a way to make a play on the Grand Cherokee name (either XL or something like that).

not for me. but im sure at first some will sell, just seems like when you get up in the 100k+ range a lot of the buyers are buying for status and Jeep is not a status symbol so as bad as that sounds it may impact sales a bit.

No wood panel siding and no deep blue paint... Pass.
Honestly, that truck looks like a Lincoln Navigator. |

I love the BMW snobs in this thread. People concerned about reliability problems in a Jeep but not a BMW or LR/RR? Lol, get real people. Both brands have a history of poor reliability. I think BMW has gotten better recently, but LR/RR is still the same junk it used to be.
The proof of concept here is my example. My GC SRT had a sticker of $72k---not exactly cheap. And for that price, I can get into any of the established name plates. But why? I very briefly considered a LR Disco which I really liked when I sat in one. The forums at the time were littered with people with their Discos in for service and the dealer didn't know the cause of the problem. Then there were the slew of other issues. Same old LR/RR BS. Next. I looked (briefly) at what I could get for $75k max in a Cayanne and X5. No thanks. Low performance and no features of interest. Meanwhile the SRT is a much faster vehicle than the comparatively priced german options, way better looking (IMO), and far more features/tech. I've had the SRT for 1.5 yrs and ~10,200 miles. Only had a faulty USB connector go bad on me. And of course, there's the other thing that no one is considering and was also a factor for me. The badge. Although I could have convinced her if I tried hard enough, my wife doesn't want to own a car with a fancy badge (despite me having an M3, lol). She had no inherent interest in a Porsche, BMW, MB. She was marginally interested in the LR. So that's another real consideration, depending on your views, your job, and where you live. My Jeep isn't perfect. It doesn't have the nice feel of even a base luxo SUV. But it's well screwed together and fun to toss around back roads. I suspect that a $100k GW, will be a much nicer and higher quality experience. I prefer the looks of the X7/GLS, but I would definitely check out the GW. Though I generally don't go for fullly loaded vehicles, so I doubt I'd be spending $100k---particularly with the inevitable discounts. |

Whether this vehicle is made by FCA or any other manufacturer, the styling alone would lead me to other buying choices.

It's technically Stellantis now.
But yeah, do make some decent things but as a whole package deal, the track record isn't there. I think it's the either electronics or transmissions they keep failing at. Not looking to pick a fight or anything but I'd guess badge snobs and 0-60 times have a little bit in common. If you want a lot of unnecessary horsepower they're the go to for sure these days. When is the hellcat powered canyonaro coming out? |

Sure have, but probably half the population that actually owned one is dead now. There's a reason why Cadillacs aren't running around today with Deville and Seville nameplates anymore. Wagoneer may have a small cult following, but it ain't with the generation that's buying these kind of vehicles. Anyway, I guess only time will tell. I just think they could have either cashed in on the popular Cherokee name, or come up with something new and unique.
