Good easily modable used car?
Benn racking my brain trying to think of what to get. I don't drive the crappy 335 anymore and I feel its a bad decision to leave it sitting their with high depreciation.
So I want to trade it in and get something else, I need a backseat just in case and the car has to be reliably modable. Some examples would be an e46 m3 or an evo, both of which I don't want though lol. Any ideas.

sti or an evo is definitely the way to go. little four banger with a turbo, all wheel drive, tuning potential, decent aesthetics, what more can you ask for??

I'll probably just end up with an e36 and put a turbo on it. Quote:

CTS-V with a blower GTO with a blower All are easily modded to that level, some more than others with varying reliability. |

Not sure if you need a backseat for kids or for throwing a laptop bag and laundry in. If it's the latter, why not a 350Z or 911.
350Z - looks great, lots of aftermarket parts available, and with the 370 on the horizon prices should be falling too. Find an older 911 and super/turbo that. RS4.

So your looking for a car with the tuning potential to hit 500hp easily and reliably with a back seat?
1. 500 whp or 500 hp on the fly? 2. 500 hp = unreliable 3. 500 hp = why bother with a back seat On a realistic note, why do you need 500whp? Is this a track car or is this just a power figure you want? If your looking for that kind of power with reliability pick up a Vette or the new skyline. Even though they don't hit the figure you're looking for, you should be able to with little mods. Basically, the less horsepower you start with the amount of tuning required to reach your target will make the car unreliable. I'd suggest starting with a base vehicle that's already rated close to 400hp, squeezing the last 100 should be cake. Good luck. |

It's a car I need that can sit most of the time and not depreciate but still entertain me (hence the 500hp, yes that's what it takes.) while I'm working on the zed or carrying people/wheels/stuff that wont fit in the zed.

I'm apologize for being such an unintelligent e90 member posting a response to help a fellow member who turns out has no clue of what he's requested. By the way all vehicles will depreciate. Good luck Douche. |
