There are so many but I will only list one: Malala Yousafzai. Shot in the head by the Taliban. Nobel prize winner. Advocate for the education of girls.

My mom.

1 of 13 kids born in 1939 in the Jim Crow south. Waited tables to earn money. Beauty Queen. Finished college in 3.5 years. Had 3 kids...2 successful and me

PhD at 31. With my father has put over 50 people through college. Got her MS in MassComm at 70 to help her write 3 children's books. Created a writing system to help kids learn to write cursive and improve their printing.

Janet Guthrie. She worked as an engineer for a large aerospace contractor on Long Island, to self-sponsor her SCCA racing career. She moved up to NASCAR and IndyCar, and IIRC was the first (or only?) driver to ever qualify for the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 in the same year. It is amazing to see all of the barriers that she had to break along the way...with sponsorship being only one of them.

She is a member of our local SCCA region, and I've had the pleasure of sitting down to talk with her at a few historics events over the years. I even offered to let her drive my car at one of the Vanderbilt Cup Centennial celebrations, but she declined the offer.....

An amazing cook, and a killer shot with a firearm (literally, after several TICs and response to suicide bombing/attack attempts on multiple deployments). No one I would rather have standing beside me against anything the world throws at us.

Before I get roasted mind you: My mother left while I was young and forgot she had children. My kids mother is a sack of shit. Sure there are plenty of famous women out there that have done great things....I don't know them personally......

Can I just say that admire women in general?

Man I have a list. My wife & mom are forever first on my list. I also admire (no particular order) Michelle Obama, Regina King, Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, Serena Williams, Betty White...just to name a few. There are a lot of women worth admiration but these ladies just were off the top of my head
