I had an R52 that I kept for 11 years. Loved that car...supercharger whine was great, shifter was silky smooth. Heck - even got me my user name for this forum. Other than routine maintenance...car was a gem.

Hope you enjoy it.

I also had a R53 for a while. Really enjoyed the vehicle and didn't have much for problems with it. It did pop a coolant hose which were NOT fun to replace and the water pump seeped a little. Aftermarket is pretty solid on them too.

I had one too, super fun to drive, looks like a 05+?
Watch that coolant bottle, those have a tendency to fail, I had 3 of them in 5 years.

Supercharger pulley raises the fun factor to 11.

I really love seeing Minis, they have so much personality. Shame that modern consumers don't value them.

Nice E70 by the way.

I had an 05 not so long ago. Absolutely brilliant little car, incredible fun. Had to let it go but looking for another, the MK1 is the best looking IMO. And from what I hear, the R53 engine is more durable than the R56.

hah! love the m shifter I had an r53 myself.. i upgraded the pulley to an alta 17% pulley.. also I had the popular "one ball" mod for a while, I can definately reccomend as a tasteful mod. i drove it like i stole it.. very easy car to rip a 180 u turn.. such a small nimble chassis.

Thanks, My belt needs to be replace so I am probably going to go with the Alta 15% pulley. I have to look in to that one ball mod, because I was going to have the resonator removed on the weekend, the stock exhaust is too quiet for me.
